Sorry I don't get your context either.

Context -

I do not ever understand what ZS wrote. I can't because I have reading comprehension problems.

Slim: So, you're saying ________

ZS: That's not what I said.

Slim: So, you're saying ________

ZS: I didn't say that.

Slim: What exactly is your opinion?

ZS: I'm not saying. It's all there for you to read.

ZS: If you can't comprehend what I've said then that's you're problem.

Slim: State your opinion.

ZS: I've stated it many times if you would learn to read.

Repeat for 10 pages.

Exactly. And is there an opinion? Yesssssssss. Read post #1 is all that has to happen. Ask if you don't get it.

Don't forget the declaratory accusations as well. That usually happens when there is either a deficiency in reading or just being a plain old knucklehead at trying to put words where they are not. Kind of psycho.

You have to mind context, and how petty trying to misrepresent others is online.

From what I read the opinion in dispute was about Affirmative Action being intended to grant historically disadvantaged people access to achieve (either in education or jobs). Yet somehow Slim's interpretation of this ignores the part about access and instead insinuates that ZS supports giving untalented or unskilled people an advantage over other people regardless of merit (and seemingly ignores an earlier post which conceded that the concept of Affirmative Action is outdated).

You can't reach such conclusions unless you misread what is written.

How do you selectively apply affirmative action when the only requirement is skin color?

"I want to take this opportunity to mention how thankful I am for an Obama re-election. The choice was clear. We cannot live in a country that treats homosexuals and women as second class citizens. Homosexuals deserve all of the rights and benefits of marriage that heterosexuals receive. Women deserve to be treated with respect and their salaries should not depend on their gender, but their quality of work. I am also thankful that the great, progressive state of California once again voted for the correct President. America is moving forward, and the direction is a positive one."

People do read only what they want to read. By definition this is a problem. When all they want to know is already posted, they are merely being petty.

Slim, you win.

You're making an assumption that the intent of AA is synonymous with your nonspecific understanding of how it is applied in real terms.
