I passed my Interview!!!

Hi there,

I did pass my naturalization interview. It was a really nice experience. Last night I was very anxious but today when I woke up (after sleeping just 2 hrs :o ) was pretty relaxed!B-) . I took the train from my cousin's house in Brooklyn and got to federal plaza pretty quickly 20 minutes before my interview time that was scheduled for 9:10 AM. I was called by a really nice guy in his 60's. He inmediately made me feel at ease. He was nice and chatty, then he proceed to asked me the six questions:

1. Who was the first president?

2. Name the governor of your state?

3. Where is the statue of liberty located?

4, Name one of the senators of NY?

5. What movement tried to end racial discrimination?

6. What is one promise that you make when becoming US citizen?

Reading sentence:

"Who lives in the White House?

Writing Test:

The president lives in the White House.

Then , He told me I passed the test and joked about who helped me to study? He asked me if "name of my older son" helped me,,,it was too funny LOL. My son is just 7 years old.:lol:

After taking the test he continued with the NO AND YES questions then I signed my photos and the application and he said "Congratulations you have been recommended for approval". Please follow me to the ROOM 122 to wait for your oath letter then while we were walking to the other room he said" I wish all my cases were just like yours,,, except the name changing part":lol:. Then He congratulates me again and left.

The date for my oath ceremony is Friday July 22nd at Federal Plaza!!!

NYC1984 SEE YOU THERE :D ! I'LL BE ONE OF THE PEOPLE STANDING WHEN THEY CALL 'DOMINICAN REPUBLIC! while saying the former countries.
