The best 'banks' are actually credit unions. They have better interest rates, less fees, and as for ATM/debit cards, they have plenty of options. Look around your area, most are local.

Chase have been great. I could open the account without a SS#. We opened another joint account with my husband and they've been great and there's a branch right down my road.

ii don't have an account with them but i was reading online that Bank of America has the most ATM's around the US...I think it was around 18,000

Piggy? You need to shop around and keep checking for phantom service charges, etc. There is no one that stands out in my mind. I liked Washington Mutual but they're gone now.

I agree, credit unions are the best. You become a shareholder in the bank and rather than receiving a dividend the bank passes lower interest rates on loans and higher rates on cd's.

Top 3 bank of US are list of top 10 companies with worst customer service.

Out of all 3 I bank with BOA just coz they have plenty of branches and I can find ATM easily.
