i did my biometrics exactly 3weeks ago, and i am yet to receive any notification concerning my work permit and green card... fellow VJAYS that have undergone these process, i need advise from u all on what to do, 'cos i heard from fellow vjays that a notification is always certain 2weeks after the biometric had been done confirming ordering of cards....why the delay ?....i need help pls

Nothing is certain in this process. EAD is usually approved in 60-90 days from filing, GC takes longer. When did you file? It looks like you are still within normal processing time, there is no delay.

My Immigration Journey:

K1: June 2010 - December 2010

AOS: April 2011 - June 2011

ROC: April 2013 - August 2013

Naturalization: March 2014 - August 2014

unfortunately there is no standard timeline for EAD or green card that is the same for everybody applying.

Yes, there is average processing times, but in the end it all depends on the amount of employees available to work on your application (they handle more then just one at a time), and also on their workload. With that in mind you should still shouldn't give up hope just because it's been a week longer then other people report, their local office may be less swamped with applications, etc.

It's easier said then done I know, but try to sit back and relax, and get a positive surprise in your mailbox one of these days. Distract yourself with a hobby or something else to do in the meantime so it's not driving you nuts having no updates.....

10/17/2010 - USPS confirms delivery to USCIS

10/25/2010 - Check cashed

10/26/2010 - All applications been worked on aka touched

10/28/2010 - NOA1 Receipts for applications received

11/24/2010 - Received appointment for biometrics in the mail for 12/17 *yay*

12/17/2010 - 9.25 a.m. - 9.45 a.m. Biometrics done !!

12/23/2010 - EAD Approved and Card on its way - Email notification received *yay*

01/03/2011 - WOOOHOOO ...EAD Card in Hand!

01/04/2011 - Oh boy....Received Interview Letter today - February 3rd is the day! :)

02/03/2011 - Interview scheduled 12:45 p.m. - out of there before 1:30 p.m. - further review

Coming home, checking for touches at 5:30 p.m. - CARD PRODUCTION ORDERED !!!!

02/09/2011 - Yup another e-mail saying that my card production was ordered.

02/10/2011 - E-mail notification "Approval letter was sent today"

02/14/2011 - Welcome Letter / Approval NOA and Card (separate envelope) received!!! :D

Late November 2012 (have to look up my receipts ;) - mailed in ROC I-751

12/12/2012 - NOA 1, status extension received

12/18/2012 - Biometrics appointment letter received

01/08/2013 - Biometrics done

I had my biometrics ... June 28 I think .. I did have an RFE that was recieved back to them June 29 .. the update that I have is 60 days for some news.

So I agree with the other poster, there is nothing really set in stone for the timelines with this process.

Dec 25 2009 officially engaged

March 2010 - sent off I-129F

March 27 2010 - Vermont receives package :)

April 3 2010 - Informed through mail that cheque is cashed NOA1

May 28 2010 - RFE notification ( yeah Im online checking alot >.< )

June 5 2010 - RFE hardcopy received

June 18 2010 - RFE returned ( had done it June 7 - but USPS returned grrrr )

--- case says we should hear from them in 60 days from June 18 ---

June 23 - Touched

Aug4 - Email notification of NoA2 :)

Aug. 10 - NOA2 Hardcopy received

Sept. 13 - Faxed off Package 3

Sept 14 - Interview notification set for Oct. 5

March 17 2011 POE Canadian/US border

April 1 2011 Marriage

The EAD is generally (but not always) received within about 2-3 months from when your application was accepted. How long that is after biometrics depends on how quickly you got your biometrics appointment. When did you actually file?

I am the USC, husband is adjusting from B2.

ADJUSTMENT OF STATUS

08.06.2010 - Sent off I-485
08.25.2010 - NOA hard copies received (x4), case status available online: 765, 131, 130.
10.15.2010 - RFE received: need 2 additional photos for AP.
10.18.2010 - RFE response sent certified mail
10.21.2010 - Service request placed for biometrics
10.25.2010 - RFE received per USCIS
10.26.2010 - Text/email received - AP approved!
10.28.2010 - Biometrics appointment received, dated 10/22 - set for 11/19 @ 3:00 PM
11.01.2010 - Successful biometrics walk-in @ 9:45 AM; EAD card sent for production text/email @ 2:47 PM! I-485 case status now available online.
11.04.2010 - Text/Email (2nd) - EAD card sent for production
11.08.2010 - Text/Email (3rd) - EAD approved
11.10.2010 - EAD received
12.11.2010 - Interview letter received - 01.13.11
01.13.2011 - Interview - no decision on the spot

My husband received his a little over a month after his bio appointment.
