LOL.... not calling you names.... I am still a nerd, or a geek, or whatever they are called these days.... It is just with two hernia surgeries....recovering the muscles has not been easy. Plus the fact, I was fed starch every night before bed for two years working the second shift. I wonder why I felt sluggish after a year.... took me another year to figure it out....by then the damage was done... Now I am a BIG nerd, not a small nerd. But i have a feeling Gretchen will get me into shape or at least I will be eating much much more fish.... Here fishy, fishy... here fishy, fishy, fishy.....

have many of my receipts and boarding passes copies notarized now. Forgot my passport, Also forgot to ask for statement of account. Ah well, do that in Tuesday. Also still need to get court documents notarized. So 12 pages notarized. But passport copies, and court documents to go. So, you could say, I am 1/3 of the way there. Hoping my fiancee gets the CENOMAR by the time I am ready to send this all in. Nice part is my bank does not charge for notary. However, 32 pages at the courthouse, WILL cost me. cost for certified copies: $26.00 charge to certify any document, Not bad for 16 pages.

Even though I personally think there is nothing wrong with this idea... I probably wouldn't have made that statement. It seems many people on VJ absolutely can't handle the idea that there might be a chance the fiance won't be able to handle living in America. I.e. The 90 days is to marry, not to see if a couple is compatible or if the fiance can handle life in America. Perhaps USCIS doesn't think this way. I for one do not, but I still probably wouldn't tell USCIS that I believe the 90 days gives someone that chance to see if they can adjust.

We are waiting until we get approval for her to come here to America to see if she can adjust to American living.

Right, if you read what I wrote before, because of time, requirements, and our relationship length, we decided to wait until marriage in the US. It gives both my fiancee and I "breathing room" to settle into the relationship instead of a "harlequin romance novel" (of which my fiancee is fond of reading.) Once she comes here, we will start planning our wedding. However, it must be noted, that not all fiancees (fiances) that come into the US get married. there are some who cannot adjust to the American culture no matter how much they want to or are just too culture shocked. You sign a letter stating you DO intend to marry. this 90 days gives you a chance to plan and do things. however, the first week or two is just complete adjustment and culture shock. What you went through going to her country, is what she is going through when she comes to the USA. But to a more extreme level. YOU are now her ONLY person for support. YOU have just become HER WHOLE WORLD. If you are extremely blessed, she may have family in the area.

RFE replied. Be there tomorrow. Sent in certified copies of the divorce decree. Copies of passport, boarding passes, bus tickets, notes for engagement party, receipts were all notarized. Sent in copies of bank statements, letter from Philippine airlines welcoming me as a mabuhay member, statement of mabuhay account showing trips and miles earned. Plus statement of meeting. Also sent in 4 pages of photos with captions under each with dates, copies of youtube page (can't send disk or video, but did next best thing), included copies of Gretchen and mine facebook pages which shows we state being engaged to each other plus pics of us together and includes her and mine contact information on the facebook page. (it shows her phone number in the Philippines.)

So maybe if I am lucky I have approval right after the 4th of July. From the looks of things, many RFE's are approved in 3 to 4 business days. That would be nice. However, in lokoing at RFE's still in unapproved status on Igor's list I notice a LOT of Philippine applications having RFE.
