I wrote my ALIEN # in ALL of our docs. I wrote it at the upper side of each one of 'em.

Alirght, here goes my attempt at doing an early biometrics appointment story and questions:

My biometrics date is 8/12/11 and I am scheduled to be in Florida 8/8/11-8/18/11 (already paid for family trip). I decided to try my luck at going in for an early walk in appt yesterday morning. I get to the location at 7am even though the office opens at 8am, thinking that at least if I'm first in line, the ACS officers might be kinder and give me the opportunity to walk in.

Once the doors opened at 8am and although I was the first in line, the guard was only interested in letting people in that had 8am appts on 7/22/11 (yesterday) in and I was told to wait on a seperate line outside. After about 15 minutes I made an attempt to speak to the guard and explain my situation. He told me to hold on and he would get the supervisor for me. I was called in by the supervisor about 2 minutes later who explained to me that he would be unable to have me complete a walk in appt yesterday because he had well over 400 applicants for the day and even though he usually only allows walk ins after 2pm he can guarantee me that it would be impossible yesterday. He then asked to see my appointment letter, and asked me when I was due to return to NY, I told him 8/18/11. He checked the calendar in front of him and wrote in pen on my appt letter 8/19/11 and signed it with his name and signature. He told me I should come in that day at 8am and if I'm the first in line, I would be the first to be served considering I was first in line yesterday.I guess the worried look on my face gave off the fact that I was completely scared that since my original biometrics date is 8/12/11 and on the appt letter it says if you miss your biometrics appt then they will cancel your application entirely, he proceeded to say this:

" Ok I can see you are worried because the appt letter says your application will be cancelled if you miss your scheduled bio appt date. This is not really the case because in actuality you have 87 days from the appointment date to get your biometrics done. That notice was put in the letters because in the past people would never honor their scheduled dates so that notice was included to deter people from missing their dates. Your application is absolutely not going to be cancelled, and since I have given you the date of 8/19/11, just come in that morning and you'll be fine."

I left soon after and returned to work.

Now to my questions/concerns/dilemna/neurosis:

1. Would it be wise for me to believe this supervisor?

2. Has anyone heard about the 87 day thing he was talking about?

3. I noticed that on the biometrics appt letter, they indicate that if you are unable to make your appt, you should send the request back to the location of your biometrics appt (which is where I spoke to the supervisor yesterday) and they would reschedule you. Not that you are to send it to Vermont Service center.

It just makes me wonder if it makes the supervisor more legit.

4. I've been contemplating that once i get to florida on the 8th, that I would fly back to NY on the night of the 11th, and go back to fl the night of the 12th (after my originally scheduled appt), it's gonna be pretty darn expensive...urghh...

What do you guys think??

I'm just trying to weigh all my options here. Should I just wait till I get back from FL and go in on the new date he wrote of the 19th? Should I try another day and time to walk in again? ( I came into work later on friday, so I have to take time off again in order to do this).

I really dont want to be miserable in FL with the family because I'm such a worry bug.

Ok, so are you saying if I go on the 19th, I still have the chances of having my application cancelled?

I did not know that early bio walks were usually done btw 2-4 in the afternoon, had I known this I definitely would have gone at this time.

I also dont think that because he wrote that on my application that this would mean i definitely cannot go in before that day. Correct me if I'm wrong.

Can someone please remove my send date and change it to the 27th? USCIS has sent my entire Application back because I was a few days early...............Will resubmit on the 27th.

I can't remember where but, I read this instruction; "Write your Alien Number at the upper side of ALL documents"...somewhere when I was studying the ROC guide? :unsure:

So, I did. Hope yours will be fine even without it. :star:

This is what I found...

If you were granted conditional resident status through marriage to a U.S. citizen or permanent resident, use this form (I-751) to remove those conditions. If you have dependent child/ren who acquired conditional resident status concurrently with you and ENTERED the US within 90 days of your arrival, then include the name(s) and A- Number(s) of the/se child/ren in part 5 of this form in order to have her/his/their conditional status removed. If you have dependent child/ren who acquired conditional resident status after 90 days from the date of your ADJUSTMENT or, if the conditional parent is deceased, then the/ those dependent child/ren must file form I-751 separately to have their conditional status removed.

Can someone add me to the timeline i751 Package sent Friday July 22nd for hubby and my daughter.
