hi,

im longing to aply for a tourist visa to the states and im wondering if i can aply for an adjustment of status while im there since my wife is american!!!

Nope!

Using a tourist visa for immigrant purposes is called visa fraud and carries a lifetime ban from the US

If you are granted admittance to the US as a tourist (especially one married to a US citizen) you must return home at the end of your authorized stay

I suggest if you plan on immigrating to the US, have your USC wife file for an immigrant visa for you

As mentioned, your plan won;t work.

If your wife is seriously ill, you can ask for an expedite of your spousal visa. But she'd still need to deal with the financial support issue. Can she ask a friend or family member to co-sponsor?

Then what's the point? Your wife can't submit a sufficient affidavit of support, so your AOS would be denied. What's more, your preconceived intent would be noted in your file, and you'd never be able to get another non-immigrant visa to the US.

Have your wife find a joint sponsor and file a spousal visa petition.

Casablanca is a high fraud post....they rarely give young men tourist visas, and if you are married to an american, you will absolutely NEVER be approved for a tourist visa. What you are suggesting is visa fraud. Please educate yourself on immigration, because the process isn't about how much you love your wife, it is convincing a consular officer that you did not marry your wife for visa purposes. If she is very sick, maybe you could request an expedite of your petition?
