How novel, my name taken in vain and a lot of tripe posted about my supposed opinions.

I do not care about Weiner at all, not in any way, shape or form, not as a man and not as a politician and I certainly have zero interest in his sexual appetites. I am not in his constituency, not even close so I have no reason to care about anything about him.

As to the broad question of whether or not there is an unnatural and stupid obsession with the sexual activities of politicians, yes there is and personally, I find it ridiculous particularly considering there is not meant to be a state sanctioned religion. Of course, it's really easy to pour scorn on folks who commit sexual impropriety, much easier than examining real political questions so it is no surprise that these sorts of scandals attract more air time than boring policy discussions - but the US would be a far better place if there was more media and public interest in policies than sex - but that's not going to happen any time soon. Enjoy your salivations over his proclivities, I am totally bored with the whole thing.

Sources close to the girl told Fox she followed Weiner on Twitter after seeing him speak during a school trip to Washington in April. Weiner subsequently followed her and direct-messaged the girl beginning on April 13. It's unclear what the message was regarding.

Weiner's office told the New York Times he had exchanged five messages with the girl. A member of the girl's family told the Times the messages were "harmless" but expressed concern that Weiner had exchanged private messages with a teenager.

Police said they questioned the girl and found no evidence of wrongdoing.

"They were made aware of an alleged contact between Congressman Anthony Weiner and an area teen," said Officer Tracey Duffy, a New Castle County police spokeswoman, told the Associated Press. "The teen has been interviewed and disclosed no information regarding any criminal activity."
