; It's like a second security background check They say it can cause a delay from 1 week to 4 weeks.. but most of the time, it will be sent out to Embassy/Consulate after a couple of days/week.

Just keep calling every day, they may have had sent out before you know it :)

AR = no mans land

It really depends why your petition was put into AR.

I befriended a woman here, she was put in AR for almost 2 years. She had a ban on her, and I think that they waited until the time frame on her ban was up till they took her out of AR status, but thats just my opinion.

AR is so hard to give a time frame on.

From what I understand, she married a USC. She was going to visit him, and when she got to the US/Can border she was asked why she was traveling to the USA. She told them ... to visit a friend. The BG went through her bags and found a marriage certificate proving that she was married to a USC. They felt her "visit" was a "move" and denied her entry. They put a either 2 or a 3 year ban on her from entering the USA for lying.

as was said By C&A It is common for A CSR @ NVC to tell someone a case is in AP or AR with no actual review being undergone.. Our case was in AP as they were doing some checks on our case at NVC.. Most take less than a month and recent cases have taken a couple of weeks.. Just keep calling every few days until you get the response that the file is forwarded to the consulate/embassy... dont let this get you down its just a delay..:thumbs:

ah - sorry, I had forgotten you wish to withdraw the petition.

If it's under administrative review at NVC - IMO it's a great time to get it withdrawn, as NVC is holding it for a bit, THEY HAVE IT, you should make arrangements with NVC to withdraw the petition whilst they have it.

As to how I am - eh - normal standard Saturday Cranky Curmudgeon mode, missing my wife, missing my big gardens, but writing up a storm for my work.

Good Luck !

Chances are he won't get the packet three unless you facilitate it, by emailing and asking for it and then sending it to him. I don't know anyone that has actually received packet 3 in Haiti. That said, why are you torturing yourself and him? If you don't want to marry him just put a stop to it! I don't have any doubt that he knows exactly what he is missing out on, with or without that paperwork.

So I think you might be going through the same thing i am going through. I did my visa interview last thursday and they told me they are going to do Administrative Processing on it. They gave me a link to see the status of it. but when I put my passport number, they told me passport number not found. Do u think it is to early to check. It has not even been a week.
