Just wondering if anyone knows of an instance where an I-129F fiance visa petition has been denied by USCIS?

We're one of the unlucky ones waiting since December for an answer to our petition. Would be nice to hear something...

I've read one case where K-1 visa was denied during the interview. It was denied because of the age difference between the beneficiary and the petitioner which was 30 years.

Show me a link to that...

USCIS has specific guidelines the must follow.. Many here have had the petitions denied over the years based on not meeting specific criteria such as having met in person in the past two years (most common)

Your question is uncomplete. No need to state reasons or/even if you have been denied. USCIS is Required to give a written explaination for a denial with the 129-F. There are many reasons for a denial LETTER.

There are several options but the Initial K-1 had Red Flags to start with. But, that don't mean a denial.

As always: When a new Member asks questions: They Avoid the reason for denial. I guess thats OK. Something is there and they found it.

I bet they Cashed your Check though. Just a guess.

USCIS wont tell why they got denied? They should give them some reason why they denied the case in my opinion.

Just because you haven't been approved yer doesn't mean you have been denied. I don't think you say that you received anything from USCIS saying you are denied, right?

The poster never said it was denied by USCIS but denied at the interview stage.

All the OP can do at this point is wait for the letter to see what the reason for denial was. USCIS is completely procedure based. As long as you meet the requirements and supply all the information correctly the petition gets passed along to the next step. Was there an RFE that you didn't respond to in time?

Hey there! There have been instances where I-129F petitions have been denied, but it is based specifically on each case. Reasons for denials can include not having met within required time, criminal background issues, citizenship issues, etc. However, as already mentioned, not having heard anything yet does not mean your petition has been denied. I know quite a few people from November still waiting to hear something. You can always feel free to call and see if they can check the status of your petition. If they have no news, then its still waiting to be adjudicated(sp?). Good luck.

Be Sober, Be Vigilant!

Thanks for all the replies. Just to be clear, we did no receive any indication that we were denied. We were just curious if anyone has heard of the I-129F being denied, and for what reasons. I guess we're just stuck waiting....
