wisensmart75, sorry to hear that your case has been traveling back and forth, hang on there.

Batya, i don't think you need a lawyer, you have enough evidence. Me and my husband don't have our utilities on both names but i am not worried since we are married for almost 8 years and have 2 kids.

Dtudtu, it happened to my case as well, first notification stated card production on July 5, then on July 8, then the blue dot went back to approval notice on the 12th. Checked my mail today, still no AED card.:(

Hi Dulcinea,

Today, blue dot went back for me too, haha, what the heck!!! It says approval notice sent on 13th. But On the 7th and again on the 12th is said card production ordered...I don't know..weird!!! :D

Hi all!

Joining in here as a May AOS filer. Just checked online and saw that my wifes case was transfered to the CSC on July 7.

We have still not recieved the Biometrics appointment letter. AP and EAD still showing as initial review and last touch of May 24.

Did anyone else here recieve their Biometircs appt letter after the case was transfered?? getting a bit worried and wonder if we should do a walk-in?? is that possible if no appoitment letter?

Thanks!

Hi there! You can't do a walk-in biometric without the appointment letter....whenever you will recieve your appointment letter u can do a walk-in and bring the appointment letter and ur wife's passport at the indicated office...Goodluck for all of us.. We are also waiting for the next action, I did my walk-in biometric already like almost three weeks ago but until now no action and we are kinda worried too! (Y_Y) .....

ok so today hubby and i went to see our lawyer, and we are freaking out, we will go by ourselves , we have to pay the lawyer a fee to go with us and since we only have one income to survive we cant afford it  .. we are getting even more nervious , he says that usually the officers at the san jose office are nice but that regardless we must be prepared for the worst case scenario. but what made us nervious was that he thinks we dont have enough stuff together... this is what my hubby and i have: a joint bank account, our lease agreement and rent receipts, the utilities are included in the rent, marriage certificate, our emails, * the first email he sent me to the dating website christianmingles* and our itinerary info everytime we flew to visit each other and of course the photos... thats all we have together, i havent get a EAD yet so i haven't be able to apply for a SSN Or license to add me to his car insurance, and he has health insurance through university.... he also says that with our evidence there is 60% of denial... i know our attorney wants us to be extra prepared and not to be surprise by any question. but we cant help to be nervious , we are very tired of this whole process and of me not being able to work and im planning to continue college this sept so we really want to have my status approved. i believe that God is with us and we have his grace in everything we do and i feel in my heart that we are going to be approved, ok guys i wanted to express all this anxiety and maybe fears we are having... Thank you

Hi Batya, I think you have enough docs to prove your bonna fide marriage. I have gone through many interview posts and have seen that the IO did not ask for all these docs. The most common questions they ask are how did you meet? how many times you met in person? some questions about the marriage ceremony, and some questions about the forms you filled that's all. Some interviews were much less easier and all the interviewed agree that the officers attending them were friendly that they forgot about the stress and nervousness. It is normal that your attorney would say that you have 60% of denial to push you to hire him. I advise you to read some ot the interview posts taken at the same center where you will have yours. I didnt need a SSN number for my wife to add me to her car insurence but when she wanted to add me to the leese agreement they asked about my SSN. It is normal the way you feel now, just Keep the faith, everything will go well and you'll get approved.... good luck!!

Biometrics done in Raleigh NC. Everyone there was pleasant and efficient. My appointment was at 10am and there were a few people there already, we were finished at 10:30. They accepted a walk in just before me in line. The fellow at the checkin counter told him he was "way early" but said "we'll take you" So, if anyone is wondering if Raleigh takes walkins.. they seem to.

There was a guy there who some of the people were fussing over because he had a cut on his hand. I'm nosey so I chatted up one of the ladies as she went past me. Apparently the fingerprints are scanned and then sent to another facility, they don't keep them at the service centers at all AND If there is anything preventing them from doing a full set of all then of your fingers completely (Like an open cut or something) they'll tell you to come back. Just as an FYI.

:)

Hopefully now that they have yet another picture of me and another set of fingerprints... they'll move this along ;P

Had my interview today and was in and out in about 20 minutes! Wonderful.

Was sworn in with my husband at his desk. The officer asked only one question... "So you met at X place how did that happen?"

He then went through my i-485 application to make sure all the information was correct then asked for a copy of our marriage certificate since it got misplaced.

We bought oodles of evidence with us just in case - like joint bank statements, photos, insurance, phone bills etc and he didn't ask to see a thing.

Completely painless and easy. Said I should receive my Green Card in 30 days but I'm sure it will be much sooner.

YAY! xxxx
