Firstly Congrats for the IL... suppose you get the visa you need to travel to US within 6 Months.. and then you can come back after you have got the 1 Year GC on the Airport.. so you can continue your project and wrap it up.

If you still need more time than 6 - 12 Months (confirm that period) to complete your project then you need to send some form (Application, dont remember the name) for the delay and take due permission and get the extension. It is pretty straight forward and easy thing to do.

But if you delay the Interview and then the PD retrogreses (God forbid) then you have to wait again.. or any other unforseen circumstances happen and the Interview gets further delayed and/or the GC, it is only self inflicting and risky move. So I suggest a bird in hand is always better content.gif .

G_One,

Thanks for your explanation and your advice.

So I sent a email for embassy in RDJ about reschedule.

But problably I will folow your advice.

I will go to interview on March 20 so I gonna be at USA till 20 september I guess.

Maybe after interview I can ask about stay for more 3 or 6 months here.

You said that "and then you can come back after you have got the 1 Year GC on the Airport...."

I can go there, get my 1 year GC and than come back.

Do you mean that I can go for a week and than come back?

Hello SHEMA758 ,

We have the same priority date. : Hopefully we can help the ILs soon at the same time too. happy.png

Congrats to all having ILs of Mar.

little_pig I really hope and pray that we get it soon. I would love to have my immigrant visa in hand by June. In that way I could travel there for the summer. So I pray that we get the interview soon and are all successful in our interviews so we can be reunited with our loved ones.
