I know this may be a silly question, but Aley is getting ready to send the Intent, G-325a, and a few other docs over from Bolivia. Should she sign these in blue or black ink?

Thank you,

Brian

This, si man.

06-04-2007 = TSC stamps postal return-receipt for I-129f.

06-11-2007 = NOA1 date (unknown to me).

07-20-2007 = Phoned Immigration Officer; got WAC#; where's NOA1?

09-25-2007 = Touch (first-ever).

09-28-2007 = NOA1, 23 days after their 45-day promise to send it (grrrr).

10-20 & 11-14-2007 = Phoned ImmOffs; "still pending."

12-11-2007 = 180 days; file is "between workstations, may be early Jan."; touches 12/11 & 12/12.

12-18-2007 = Call; file is with Division 9 ofcr. (bckgrnd check); e-prompt to shake it; touch.

12-19-2007 = NOA2 by e-mail & web, dated 12-18-07 (187 days; 201 per VJ); in mail 12/24/07.

01-09-2008 = File from USCIS to NVC, 1-4-08; NVC creates file, 1/15/08; to consulate 1/16/08.

01-23-2008 = Consulate gets file; outdated Packet 4 mailed to fiancee 1/27/08; rec'd 3/3/08.

04-29-2008 = Fiancee's 4-min. consular interview, 8:30 a.m.; much evidence brought but not allowed to be presented (consul: "More proof! Second interview! Bring your fiance!").

05-05-2008 = Infuriating $12 call to non-English-speaking consulate appointment-setter.

05-06-2008 = Better $12 call to English-speaker; "joint" interview date 6/30/08 (my selection).

06-30-2008 = Stokes Interrogations w/Ecuadorian (not USC); "wait 2 weeks; we'll mail her."

07-2008 = Daily calls to DOS: "currently processing"; 8/05 = Phoned consulate, got Section Chief; wrote him.

08-07-08 = E-mail from consulate, promising to issue visa "as soon as we get her passport" (on 8/12, per DHL).

08-27-08 = Phoned consulate (they "couldn't find" our file); visa DHL'd 8/28; in hand 9/1; through POE on 10/9 with NO hassles(!).

Your question is not really silly do I use black or blue ink to fill-out documents. We think, it's ink! thats OK. I read the above comments and in the future suggest a ( Fine) Black ball point pen. I don't think its a really big deal but documents are scanned and blue will look LIGHT on a document. Documents are black and white and blue is a off color to the scanned Document.

So, your question is not silly but I suggest using A fine black ink pen in the future.

(If my Attourney filled-out a Form in Blue ink I would have said: What are you doing?) Get the hint. Good Luck

You look like a wonderful Couple.

The government doesn't have crappy scanners. The one I use at work, which is the same as what State Department/USCIS has scans documents of all colors etc just fine. Nothing looks light on it.

Blue ink is recommended for signing only when it comes to documents sent to USCIS, the rest should be filled in, in black ink, if people hand write in the I-129F and G-325a. I signed in blue and so did my fiancee and there was zero issues.

Clearly you do not know how the U.S. government functions if you think blue is not to be used and/or acceptable on certain documents.

BTW, my senator's reply to me was signed in blue! Oh how unprofessional of him!

So do not give out false or misleading information.

Blue or Black is accepted, does not matter to USCIS or State Department. Blue is better as it "avoidd the BS of being suspect of not being an original signature."

We laser printed all the pre filled forms, all that was left was the signature and date of-course

Check out this link

BLUE INK

When my Lisa 1st mailed me her G-325a and Letter of Intent, she only signed her initials, and it was in black ink.

When I looked at her initials I could not tell if it was an original or a copy.

2nd time I had her sign her whole name in a blue ball point pen.

So another 1500 Pesos and a couple days later (fedex rocks)

Blue looked much better to me, no doubt the signature is real.

Thats my 1 peso, Peace

Thank you so much for the compliment. When Aley sent me the docs from Bolivia, I just told her to use black ink as this is the standard for legal documents.

p.s. I just got back from the USPS where I mailed in the I-129f Application. I sent it overnight. I am so excited for this whole thing to be done and finally have her in my arms. Skype is getting really old, but I am glad we have this technology.
