Missing I-94 but have proof of entry

Hey guys. My wife came in to the country on a visa approximately 17 years ago. Her mother lost my wife's I-94 card, but we have copies of her mother's and her younger sisters I-94. We also have a passport stamp showing entry, and lastly, they still have the original plane ticket with my wife's name on it..showing not only the departure city, but the stop they made in Europe along the way. This should be sufficient proof of legal entry, correct?

You should apply for a replacement I-94. If that comes up as negative (impossible to replace/no trace), at least you can show them you tried to replace it. I don't think they will accept what you have without at least an attempt at getting a replacement I-94. It costs $330 to file the form I-102, I believe.

Also, given you state your wife arrived 17 years ago it's unlikely you're AOSing from a K visa (which this forum is for). Please post here: http://www.visajourney.com/forums/forum/130-adjustment-of-status-from-work-student-tourist-visas/ where other people will be in your situation.
