if you were nervous then why did you not wait..? You met and married some random guy after 30 days.. of course that's ready to draw fish. Now if you "know" the relationship is real then go on .. with the process. nothing to worry about. The Officer can think otherwise... yeah.. especially after one month and if all the mingling (finance/personal) stated after the marriage. So if you had no proof of a being "together" prior to the marriage then you both maybe drilled.

best to you.

I think that this process just makes you nervous regardless of what the issue is. As long as you are not a criminal and aren't married in order to solely get immigration benefits then your nervousness is just part of the process.

I met my husband and married him about a month later, in our belief there is no dating before marriage , so if you are serious about practicing your religion you will make a contract to marry called the Khitbah and then you will actually marry which is called the Nikkah. I think USCIS are very familiar with different styles of courtship and subsequent marriage.

Some people know from the start that that is the person that they want to be with, some believe that marriage should be arranged according to cultural values, needs, desire to have children etc, some people need a longer time.

In human culture all roads that lead to love and marriage are acceptable as long as the participants are wiling and able.

Make sure you merge your lives as much as you can. Joint bank accounts, insurance, joint lease, affidavits, photos etc. Im sure the IO knows when someone is faking it and when someone is not. For the most part.

All the best

I've never understood the need of some individuals in forums like this to judge other people's life choices. There is absolutely no need for it - and it most definitely will not help the OP in any way. Answer the question asked, and if you have nothing constructive to say, there is no reason to say anything at all. Live and let live. No need to get on your high horse.

OP - You've gotten some good advice here. Take that into account, and disregard the rest.

:D Sounds like my situation. We had talked online for months and then I had moved in with him for 3 months before we got married.

Keep all emails, chat logs like skype. Don't worry because the marriage is legit. Online love is common nowadays :). Wish your journey lots of luck

We told our IO (last week) that we had originally met on twitter and that made her smile. She said 'wow, that's the first time i've heard that one!' and she laughed. Then she stamped our file approved and wished us the best of luck. Meeting online is extremely common now a days so don't discount the time you spent online getting to know one another as not important or non existent. It's 2011! :) If you have a legit marriage you have absolutely nothing in the world to worry about, you'll be fine.

Best of luck to you!!
