Anyone else had massive billing issues with Verizon? I can't believe how many hours we've spent trying to get through to people. Over charges on our bill, they signed us up for the wrong triple play, our internet doesn't work....yadda yadda....it goes on. Share with me your woes :ot:

That's why Im not with Verizon anymore.Ive got a family plan with my wife and they charged me for calling her and other family members who are also with Verizon. It was crazy ..$450 for calling my wife on the same plan?!!They have the worst customer service and wont even correct their mistakes.Tried to fix the problems for a month but just getting thru a rep took more than 30mins.LIke you I spent numerous hours talking to them in vain. Ive had enough and they even threatened me that they will ruin my credit $%#%^...I ended up paying $700(plus the early cancellation fee)Im with AT&T for almost 2yrs now and though their coverage is not as reliable as Verizon's at least their customer service reps are the best....Ill never have Verizon again....

Now that I think about it, when I lived in CA I thought the customer service was not as good as it is where I live now. I had a billing issue when they first started the unlimited verizon to verizon thing. I called when I was in CA and they told me they wouldn't change my bill. I moved shortly after that and when I changed my number the person also changed my bill and told me they have different customer service stuff in CA (probably the entire west coast) and they are more strict. I have no clue if that is true still, but it could be.

Ya I had a huge issue a few months back! Switched all our services to Verizon under my name so we could do the ONE BILL!! So they had to stop our auto-payment plan and pay manually for a few bil cycles. Al lone was fine, paid manually like the bill said too, THEN auto-payment started and double payed me and then some, was close to $400 extra! So I wanted the $$$$$ refunded to my credit card--what a hassle! I would be put on hold--passed to dept to dept to dept--each time having to explain the whole situation over again! FINALLY on like day 3 of trying I found a competent fellow! BUT I had two options--Yes he could refund my $400 to my credit card, BUT it would take close to 3 MONTHS!!!!!!!! OR he could immediately put it towards my acct as a credit! Doing the math was the faster method! Just ticked me off! Lot of clueless Verizon employees!

But on the other hand, I have had a few minor issues and they were fine!! Cell phone coverage is better with Verizon. Bro in law has ATT and he has many dropped calls---he is switching to verizon in a few weeks. And my Internet rocks!! With Cox I had difficulties and they were clueless! Out of the blue my internet would die for 10-15 minutes, then come back on! No problems with my Fios!!

Canadians Visiting the USA while undergoing the visa process, my free advice:

1) Always tell the TRUTH. never lie to the POE officer

2) Be confident in ur replies

3) keep ur response short and to the point, don't tell ur life story!!

4) look the POE officer in the eye when speaking to them. They are looking for people lieing and have been trained to find them!

5) Pack light! No job resumes with you

6) Bring ties to Canada (letter from employer when ur expected back at work, lease, etc etc)

7) Always be polite, being rude isn't going to get ya anywhere, and could make things worse!!

8) Have a plan in case u do get denied (be polite) It wont harm ur visa application if ur denied, that is if ur polite and didn't lie! Refer to #1

Could be worse. You could have AT&T/T-Mobile. Verizon is a rip-off though.

And now AT&T is set to buy T Mobile

Taking over T-Mobile would make them the biggest cell phone provider.

I am with MetroPCS.

$35 a month for unlimited text, talk, and internet. Hard price to compete with...

Metro PCS is not available in all state/area of the US, cheaper is not all ways better.

Our Verizon cell phones have great service, billing is always "normal". TV and internet are a totally different story! I just despise being transferred to one person after another person and by the time you're done, agents have canceled your services, up-charged you for goodness knows what, and informed you you're now in an extended contract for the 'changes made'. :bonk: I just had to vent!

I've used Verizon Wireless for 10 years and haven't had any problems with customer service. I am also a FIOS customer now and have used Verizon for home service since day one and I am extremely satisfied with my service and customer service.

FIOS seems fast enough, but the prices are ridiculous.

Well..be lucky you don't sign a 2 yr contract with Sprint for an HTC EVO, which is supposed to be the answer to the iPhone. I had traded out my 3G iPhone with ATT and moved over to Sprint. The iPhone is an awesome piece of equipment but ATT has the worse customer service and I always had dropped calls. As far as the EVO and Sprint, good luck on finding a country that has CDMA coverage because that's what the EVO uses. I've been to 3 different countries in 8 months and have had to rent a phone each time I arrive because other countries use GSM signal. On the other hand, the iPhone has GSM which is pretty much a worlwide standard and when I travelled with it, I never had to worry about getting a 2nd phone (just had to shut down data and such to keep cost down). I'm going to Ukaine tomorrow and I called Sprint today and got the same thing, ohhhh sorry your phone won't work in Ukraine...I asked WHERE ELSE in the world WILL this phone work?? They said Canada. :bonk: Great competition to iPhone...works in USA ..and Canada.

Well...I guess it's good to see this post as I was actually considering a move over to Verizon because they have the IPhone, but their monthly cost is way more than Sprint.

Your problem is your lack of understanding of the technology. Yes, GSM is far more widely used worldwide than CDMA. The iPhone is NOT strictly a GSM phone. The Apple iPhone is a GSM phone, the Verizon iPhone is a CDMA phone. If you buy an iPhone from Verizon, you will have the same problem as your HTC EVO w/ Sprint. You will want to research and understand the technologies you plan on using before you actually purchase them.
