Valid options here. Frustrating as they may be. Since you're frustrated with the time I'm sure you dont want to choose Option #3. So, I say go with one or two. Well, I guess in all actuality if you don't withdraw then Option #2 in inevitible. So, the winner is Option #1!

There's also making infopass appointments to meet f2f with your local USCIS office who can peer into your case and tell if something is wrong. they can also do service requests. most times its is far more informative and fruitful than talking to one of the idiot drones that man the phone lines, or the fairly uninformative website. hope this helps. best of luck; i know how long and painful this can be. my wife's NOA2 took 5 months and 10 days. in this time I had 2 infopass appts; the 2nd one was 2 days before I got the NOA2 approval (one yr anniversary just last week) via email and text. So make the appt ASAP.

Regarding the USCIS website: They are contracted separately from immigration, meaning that someone other than USCIS is running the website. My case didn't show up for over a month on the website so I phoned and the people told me the above. He said it is not very accurate and not up to date regularly. Best to just call and inquire.

I know exactly how you are feeling. That is the best thing about this site, realizing most of us are in the same situation. You need to start doing something else to pass some of your time. I started working out in my yard and going to the gym more often. I also got involved in our Twitter campaign the "K1 Vermonters" Hang in there!

I am waiting for an interview at the consulate, and yet at the USCIS website it says initial review until this day

Call USCIS and ask for Service Request. I'm also waiting for my application. Today received notice from USCIS that my case is "under review" after I opened service request with them 2 weeks back.

Approach to your Senator. I live in MD and did forwarded my case information to her. Hope she gets back to me soon.

and at last...WAIT....& be Patient as we all here.

Best of luck to all of us!!

I know how you all feel. It's ridiculous to be quite honest....and a sad display of how the government works for all the beneficiaries waiting.

Hell, from what I can gather, they haven't even sent any approved petitions to NVC for at least 2 weeks.

I contacted one of my Senators (Tom Coburn) and his response was basically that he is more concerned with keeping people from coming here than in helping us to bring our spouses here.

Did you ask him to give you that in writing so you could take it to your local new station and see what they thought of it? It's his freaking job to help with this type of stuff. If he is not going to do HIS part when he should, then go to your other state senator. Remember this at voting season as well, and make sure you campaign AGAINST him.

Politicians can fight illegals and have my support ALL DAY, but you don't treat legal immigrants that way.

i hope my wait time doesnt go beyond 7 months...... each day passes like a month.... i check my status twice-thrice a day..

I feel your pain. After our long wait it got even longer as the medical exam led to a 2 month delay due to the sputum test and culture. It sucks...totally sucks. Her 2 month culture was negative yesterday so she should be cleared to interview after getting her vaccinations today. (fingers crossed)

Hang in there and try to keep focused on the final destination cuz the journey is painful and aggrivating at times with the endless delays. After awhile I stopped checking the site having gotten sick of initial review.

Good luck to you. I'm sure it's worth the wait and it WILL happen eventually.

Oh the waiting game, I am steadily approaching the six month mark and not a peep from the VSC or anyone for that matter. I've contacted two senators and a congressman, all to no avail. It's truly sickening and I am still considering moving myself. Gotta love government agencies and the workers who keep them the way they are... :wow:

09/21/10 - I-129F Sent!

09/23/10 - I-129F Received in Dallas, TX

09/28/10 - Text & E-mail NOA1 (It was at 12:44AM, weird) Notification that our case was transferred to VSC.

09/29/10 - Check cashed

09/30/10 - NOA-1 Hard Copy dated Sep. 27, 2010

10/03/10 - TOUCH!

After numerous calls to USCIS, my two Texas Senators and a Congressman, the latter got an "expedite" put through (if you can call a month and a week after ONPT an expedite). Just never let up! Even though mine took way too long, there were people who were a month before me and waited longer because they just sat back and watched. "The squeaky wheel gets the grease!"

03/31/11 - NOA-2!

04/05/11 - Received NOA-2 hard copy.

04/07/11 - NVC Received

04/12/11 - Case left NVC via DHL

04/14/11 - Consulate Received Hard Copy of Case

I am from Oklahoma too. Use Jim Inhoffes office instead!

also use your local congressman. I am In tulsa and used john Sullivan. both of those offices are working with me.

I just realized how did you get CSC when your in OK? I got VSC! Unless there are 2 Tom Coburns in office :bonk:

The service center your packet gets sent to isn't dependent on your state of residence to my knowledge. Seemed like everyone who sent their packet in close to ours ended up in california. within a month or so the packets were all going to vermont. I'll keep it in mind to contact Inhofe and Sullivan if we need anything else.

It is time to contact your Rep and Senator for assistance, but be warned, depending on what state you live in, they may or may not give you any help. I contacted one of my Senators (Tom Coburn) and his response was basically that he is more concerned with keeping people from coming here than in helping us to bring our spouses here.

You need to contact the CIS Ombudsman:

http://www.dhs.gov/files/programs/editorial_0497.shtm

It should "only" take 5 months to process. It is important to make your case heard, so that they will get their act together.
