It is $340 made out to US Dept of Homeland Security.Just looked this up for you

Filing Fee :$340. (There is no fee for petitions for K-3 status based on an immigrant petition filed by the same U.S. citizen.)

i beleived it is 455$ for the petition. we paid 455$ to USCIS

It used to be $455 which is what we paid back in Feb 2010 but it was reduced last November. And it is not made out to USCIS all cheques are made to US Dept of Homeland Security

Who said insufficient amount? Was the package opened? Or was it returned because you didn't put enough postage on the package for it to be mailed and thus was returned by the post office, itself?

April 18, 2011 - NOA 2 received, finallllllly!!!!

package was already received by the uscis but was returned by them with a letter saying that the amount on the check is lacking..they said we can resubmit once we corrected it..our check is already $340 that is why we're confused how come they returned our application..

i just need confirmation from those recently filed a k1 visa is it $340 or still $455?

i'm looking for a visa update or official statement that the filing fee was reduced to $340 but couldn't found 1. any links pls

The fee is still $340. Why don't you give them a call and ask what was wrong. Did you completely spell out US Department of Homeland Security because some of those working at USCIS are very finicky about those things. Give them a call to be sure and let us know how it goes.

Good Luck!
