Embassy Review : My fiance said the whole process went very smoothly. Once inside the embassy, they called him up to hand in sponsor papers and then his other forms. Then he was interviewed by an American woman...She asked him what his fiance\\\'s name was, how we met, if either of us had been married before. And then congratulations! She said he was approved and could pick up his visa on Thursday. Overall, he said they were very pleasant and he had no problems!

POE Review: JFK
Event Description
Entry Date : 2011-07-03
Embassy Review : My fiance had a really easy time with his port of entry. No big problems. He went through the customs people and they brought him to another room with everybody who had long term visas. He waited a few minutes and they called his name, asked him a couple of questions about where he was going, why he was in the states, pretty standard stuff. Then they sent him on his way!! They had somebody available to translate if necessary, but he said he understood most of the stuff and just gave simple replies (he doesn't really speak english), and there were no problems! The people were friendly and worked quickly. We have no complaints.

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
