We have everything ready to send in our AOS package but I was wondering what kinds of evidence should we send with it for proof of bona fide marriage (other than the certified marriage certificate.) What do they want at this stage? Joint accounts? Photos of the (small) ceremony? Photos of us together with friends and family? Phone logs of calls between our cell phones? (Although I technically am the owner of both since she's not on the account yet.)

My wife finally received her SSN last week and we just started adding her name to my accounts on Friday. We haven't received any statements showing that we now have joint accounts, so we really don't have anything to send yet.

Will they reject the package for not including supporting evidence or send an RFE without this kind of evidence? Or, would that only be asked for at a later (possible) interview? By then, we should have plenty of things but we don't want to wait any longer as she's on Day 72. (I know the requirement is only to get married before Day 90, but we want to file AOS before Day 90 also.)

Thanks for any suggestions

Hi ryna,

When I sent my AOS package, I did not include any evidence. The only thing I put in was the marriage certificate. If you have an interview, that's when you'll want to bring the evidence (photos, joint accounts, etc, etc). They actually ask for all of that in the interview letter.

Make sure your cover letter has a detailed list of what your package contains. I had 3 lists actually one for the green card, one for the AP and one for the EAD. The lists were all on the cover page, but I seperated it all to make it clearer...

Hope this helps and good luck!

Thanks for your tips..

I saw another thread touching on this too, so that helped. Admittedly, I didn't have time to do a thorough search earlier being on lunch break.whistling.gif
