This may seem like a silly question, but I figured since I couldn't figure it out any other way, I'd give this a shot.

In the I-485 packet, it calls for two identical passport style photos to be sent along with the G-325A. However, I'm also sending along the I-765 with it, and looking closer at the filing instructions it says I need two identical photos for that form too. Since they are part of the same packet, will one set suffice? Or should I send along two extra photos and attach them to the I-765?

If it helps, I'm following the VJ guide to file an I-130 for a spouse inside the U.S. Thanks!

The forms are split up and processed differently. This is why you follow instructions and include everything asked for in them. 6 photos for the 3 forms, AOS, AP, EAD.

There were several reasons why I got confused regarding the instructions, which I did read, but you've answered my question and I thank you.

This AOS thread: http://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/235331-aos-ead-ap-from-k1-the-aussie-way-doc-list-included/ doesn't include the I-130 info but it does have the required doc list for the I-485 section... Just replace the "K1 visa" with your visa.

I'm at this point also for my wife's AOS. I've seen 4 and I've seen 6. We're going to send 6 just to be on the safe side. If they don't need them, no harm in sending them.

Good luck everyone!

All you need is to send 4 passport-type photos in total with your AOS package. I've applied for everything, 765, 131, so I sent 4 photos.

Good luck. hope this helps.

Then you were wrong. 2 required for AOS, 2 required for EAD, and 2 required for AP. You might not get an RFE for it but if you're sending 3 apps that's 2 pics per app.

OP - In your case you are sending the I-130 as well. Depending on whether you have overstay you might not be sending the AP documents.

If you send the I-130, AOS, EAD and AP that's 2 per application so 8 photos. I personally used: http://www.epassportphoto.com/ to do my AOS photos. I only had 2 and obviously needed more. They were perfect.

Exactly! Better to send more and have them shred it than not send enough and get an RFE.
