Hello! I have a question related to alien number. On the NOA2 we got from CSC the alien number is A027287630. However, on the visa page from my passport and I-94 form attached to my passport there is an A number A87-886-550. Which one is my alien number then? I'm pretty much confused! I really appreciate any help about this! Thank you! :D

Alien number is printed on the Visa with red ink. Also they write it at the back of I-94 at the POE.

I would go by NOA2.

On my wife K-1 visa, it does not show her A# but my A# as the petioner instead. However, on the back of her I-94 it shows her A#.

Refrain from using personal identifying information. You can substitute it with xxx or different number instead.

Alien number is printed on the Visa with red ink. Also they write it at the back of I-94 at the POE.

I think the Red Ink on the Visa is your actual Visa Number.

Ugh...confused! there are 2 different numbers! Which one would be alien? like i said, on the visa page..and the I-94 form there is the same A number. but the one on the NOA is different. However, on the I-94 form...there is a section called ''record of changes" and that's where the A# xxx-xxx-xxx appears. Does that mean that somehow the A# was changed or something? :D

Correction: I re-read again my wife's K-1 visa, it does show her A# instead below my name. It also show her A# on the I-94. However, the Red Ink on the VISA is her VISA Number.

They are the same. I would include 0 in front of it if it is only 8 digit. However, if you did not put 0 then USCIS will still know that there is a 0 for an 8 digit number written by the applicant.

Haarp425, and is that A# different than the one that you have one NOA2? :)

The A# are all the same on NOA2, her VISA, and her I-94.

The alien number is on the back of I-94 and on NOA2.On NOA2 it has a 0 in front of it but you can omit the o when you use it.I`ll use it as it is on the back of I-94.On the visa i have the visa no , not the alien no.

Your A number is on the NOA2 from your K1 visa. Trust ONLY that number. If you get any correspondence with the number different, call the 1-800 number to report the error. If you receive biometrics with the incorrect number attend biometrics with your NOA2 from the K1 and ask them to correct it. Sometimes they will, sometimes they won't. You MUST correct the number. You only have 1 alien number

Hi sorry i cant help but im also on the same boat mines was given over the phone starting A0 but at the airport it just went A8 so if anyone can help us please do :)

The A number on your NOA2. Trust ONLY that number. Ignore anything else.

Alien number is printed on the Visa with red ink. Also they write it at the back of I-94 at the POE.

No it's not. That is your VISA number. Do NOT confuse the two.

I`m pretty sure the alien number is on the back of I-94.

No it's not. The number on the I-94 is your arrival/departure number. Sometimes the officer at POE will handwrite the number on your I-94 but they OFTEN make mistake. ONLY trust the NOA2 from the K1

What i am wondering is my A# is the same except on my noa2 it is A#08788xxxx but written on my I-94 it is A#8788xxxx

so my question is should i include the 0 or not? are both numbers acceptable

Either is acceptable. Technically it should have the zero. One of the forms used to add it, don't know if it still does.

The alien number is on the back of I-94 and on NOA2.On NOA2 it has a 0 in front of it but you can omit the o when you use it.I`ll use it as it is on the back of I-94.On the visa i have the visa no , not the alien no.

Trust ONLY the A number on your NOA2. Any other numbers are open to human error.

So, I finally understand! I have the A# on both NOA2 and I-94 form! I wasn't paying attention and i looked at NOA1 instead looking at NOA2! So, everything is ok! Same A# on my visa and I-94 form and NOA2!
