Heya folks,

I'd be glad if you could cast an eye over the documentation I've put together for our AOS interviews on Thursday. I'm especially looking for any suggestions you might have for my 11 year old daughter's evidence, if those of you experienced in K-2 interviews were asked for anything? But any input as to whether this is sufficient, in your estimations.

Many thanks

I have never understood why they interview K-2 adjustees... A K-2 adjusts automatically once the K-1 adjustee is approved..

YMMV

Your package looks good. It acutally depends on where your interview is and how complete the package was you sent in. We had our K1/K2 in Atlanta in December 2010. The only thing the interviewer looked at was the passports, (and removed the I-94). After swearing us in she asked only two questions of my wife and one of my step daughter. She asked my wife: what is you fathers name, and what is your mothers name?. She asked the child what her birthday was. Everything else she needed was in the package we submitted with the fees, and she went through it page by page. Finally she looked up and said "looks good, you'll get something in the mail shortly". Total interview time - 15 mins.

We were nervous as heck, but laugh about it now.

Good luck to us all, that's right! We're leaving at 5:30 am to get there at 8:30 am for our appointment at 9:00 am... When I went for my biometrics, it took us 2 hours to get there, so I figured we'll have plenty of time tomorrow... The building is actually right down the road from where I had my bio appoitment...

I think you've covered all the bases. If you've got more pictures, both before and after getting married, you might consider bringing them. Our IO was really interested in our photo albums, especially the pictures we took in Vietnam.

A younger K2 can be useful if they are suspicious about the relationship. Kids will often spill the beans about stuff the parents wish they didn't. For older K2's I think it's just a formality to make sure they haven't done anything to make themselves inadmissible since arriving in the US.
