No, I'm nowhere near a DHL location so I'm going to use xpresspost. Alot of other people have used it and not reported any problems.

Maybe! I believe it was Jeannie who told me that DOS gives you the date that Packet 3 is READY to be sent out, not the date it's actually sent out. I know DOS told me it was sent on a certain day but when I finally received it in the mail, it had a date of a few days later than the date given to me.

Sorry! meant to do a multiquote on that last reply!

I also send my packet 3 last Friday, I am excited and eager to receive my P4 so I can finally book my interview!

I also registered with DHL but it I can't pick my DHL location... is this a known bug? I tried 3 times already, I got to the point I could book an interview and I didn't see that step.

I'm sending mine tomorrow!

I'm having the same problem with the dhl, I see no option to register for it at all.

The DHL step didn't come up for me either when I registered. I think it is a pretty common occurrence. I emailed the contact address on the visa info website (contactus_en_CA@usvisa-info.com) and asked them to register my location for my case. They asked for the following information:

Applicant ID # (found on your applicant page)

Passport numbers for all applicants

Dates of birth for all applicants

The names in the passports for all applicants

...and of course, the DHL location you want assigned to your case.

They emailed me back the next day and set it up for me.

You can also call one of the numbers foundhere and they can help you. It was much easier for me to email them than trying to navigate through the phone lines to talk to a human being, but I think that is personal preference.

Hope this helps!

So how are you all handling the CSC site- what I mean is : Is the person registering on the CSC site for appointment and DHL the U.S. citizen or the Canadian beneficiary? Is this also where we pay the $350 visa fee? I am the U.S. citizen and I am trying to decide what would be best. Thanks.

If by "CSC" you mean California Service Center, you're not dealing with them anymore. Your case goes through NVC and is then transferred to the beneficiary's local consulate.

When your case is received by Montreal's Consulate (can sit there a few weeks), it establishes contact with the beneficiaries by mailing them their Packet 3. Your Canadian fiancé(e) will file all the forms for his/her packet 3 and will register with DHL (so the consulate can send the visa when it's issued). The forms contain a lot of personal data so there is no way you can do it on her/his behalf.

What you do have to do now is to mail your fiancé(e) a copy of the packet you submitted to USCIS so he/she can take it to the interview.

If you want updates on your case, you call DOS. They have access to local consulates databases.

It is my understanding that you pay the $350 USD visa fee in cash the day of your interview.

Good luck!

Hi,

SF2007 Thanks for your help. By CSC I mean the CSC Visa Information Service site at: http://usvisa-info.com/en-CA/selfservice/ss_country_welcome

We sent packet 3 through Canada Post xpresspost. I have given her a copy of our I129F package as well. Now we are just waiting to see that they got our packet 3 so we can schedule our interview on the above site. I might be missing someting but it seems that either person could sign in here and set it up and schedule. For us it would be easier for me because she doesn't have internet access at home right now and I have it at work and at home. I'm going to email them and ask. Thanks.
