My NOA1 was Feb 15 I hope that means we will be first part of March. CSC seems to be just pushing them out right now?

I don't know how many people this will apply to as my NOA1 was received about 3 weeks ago and it has not been touched and for sure there has been no NOA2 yet. This waiting and not knowing for me has been one of the most heart wrenching tortures of my life.

1/5/2011 Mailed off the mystical "packet"

1/22/2011 Received I-797 Rejection in mail due to incorrect fees

1/25/2011 Mailed packet back with correct fees

1/31/2011 Received SMS text and WAC receipt number

2/3/2011 Received I-797 NOA1 in the mail

3/1/2011 USCIS Website status update RFE to be sent via snail mail

3/7/2011 Receieved I-797 RFE in the mail requesting more primary proof of meeting in person

3/8/2011 Mailed RFE packet back to USCIS and sent it overnight

3/10/2011 Received notice from USCIS that they have received the RFE packet I sent to them

3/12/2011 USCIS Webiste status update NOA2 is approved

Don't expect these quick approvals to be the norm at all. CSC is still taking five months to approve petitions.

Hope and expect are two different things with two different meanings.

The poster above didn't say he expect for a quick approval...he said hope.

And besides, what's wrong with someone hoping for a speedy approval?

I didn't say anything was wrong with it. I am simply warning people against getting their hopes up because of a few quick approvals. I don't want to see anybody disappointed if/when it doesn't happen for them. That's all.

One question. When you mention forwarding a copy of the NVC to her, must i mail the original or can I scan it and email her an electronic copy for her to print there? Also With regards to those next steps, What post do you most recommend on this site for that?

Congratz on your speedy approval! :star:

An electronic copy of your NVC letter is fine. Your fiancée won't need the original.

I saw where another poster mentioned the medical exam and appointments in the same sentence. St. Lukes does not make appointments. They operate on a walk-in basis only.

Also, it's best to go to the medical in the late morning, closer to lunch time. That way, your fiancée won't have to get up before the crack of dawn and fall in line. She will still finish roughly at the same time as everyone else.

I probably don't need to wish you good luck with the rest of your visa journey.;)

Guess having an NOA1 in October is bad news, as the CSC decided to overlook the last 3 months of 2010 and is now approving January and February 2011. I love the way the government works! Congratulations to people that are winning the USCIS lottery!

My best wishes to you. I hope it goes well from here on.

Please note your next steps:

1) getting the package 3 completed. She will need some bank letter from you or proof of support. this will be key. see here for more information: http://manila.usembassy.gov/wwwh3204.html

2) st lukes is a first come first serve basis.

the Medical should be done on a monday to wednesday or Friday because of the come back check.

It is $213.35 about 9325php in php funds only (no checks or credit cards). there is a website. http://www.slec.ph/us-visa-applicants.shtml#medical-fees

For the appointment you will need valid passport, passport photos US style (this is critical), an appointment letter from the US embassy with 2 additional copies.

The medical must be done at least 5 days prior to interview.

Please note other information on the website (for etiqutte reason, I do not want to mention here.)

Make sure to follow all instructions regarding what the embassy sends.

Hope it goes well for you in the final steps.

I just submitted my packet which seems very similar to yours. (however, I included over 400 pages of chats, and 77 photos.) Maybe I will get lucky as well, who knows? Best of luck in the future. I wish you all the joy you can have.
