Comments : It was very easy process. I followed every single step from this site. Thanks to everyone in this site, and sharing all those helpful info. You don't need a lawyer for immigration process. However, the officer asks us 5 pictures that prove this marriage is legitimate. Well, I did not bring pictures, but the picture album. So I cut 5 pictures from my wedding album in front of the officer. She took that, and gave us white letter that indicated I-485 is approved. Again, thanx to everyone who shares good info. Have a wonderful holidays....

Embassy Review : The interview date was set at 3/28/11. 8:00 A.M.
It was o.k. People were nice, and everything was going without any porblems, except the finger print machine was out of order, and they tried to exchange the machine. Any how, they gave us a Blue paper that my finacee need to wait for further processing, and they would call. Finally they called yesterday that the VISA has been approved. As other people already wrote, we were there at 7:45 a.m. and took the number at the third floor. Interview itself took only 10 Min. Waiting was about an hour. Anyway. please pay your fee at the designated bank and bring the receipt. K-1 visa requires bank receipt, not paying in the consulate office. Thank you everyone, and I will share any info if you need.

Local US CIS Office Review: Los Angeles CA
Review Topic: cis_topic
Event Description
Review Date : November 8, 2011
Embassy Review : Our appointment was Nov. 7th 2011 2:30p.m. At 300 N. Los Angeles St. in downtown L.A. We parked our car private parking lot across the alameda St. ($6 all day).
There was no line (only took 3min.) to go through security check point. Room 1001 was not that busy and soon after we arrived, one officer came and asked us for the appointment letter. He took 4 couples to 4th floor, and again, took three other couples to other waiting. Anyhow, around 3:15, one IO called my wife's name, and led us to her room. She was polite, but you can feel very firm and professional back-bone from her. We had sworn to say all the truth nothing but truth. The IO asked to my wife all those things such as have you convicted any crime, joined any militia, communist party bla bla bla bla-answers were all no. The IO asked my wife current address, date of birth, and then asked our papers. Documents? Ah, o.k. here we go, we show her Lease agreement with names on, Insurance copy, Bank statements. The IO asked me my original citizenship certificate, and copy. Original Marriage certificate and copy. And finally, the IO asked us 5 pictures about this marriage is legitimate. What you want to keep our pictures? Dhuuuuu WE brought only our wedding album. The IO asked us if we can cut some of pictures. Sure why not. Anyway we have another copy at home, so we cut 5pictures from our wedding album. The IP asked my wife nothing but her parent's first and last name. That was it. After the interview, she called us to the window, and gave us white paper that says I485 is approved, and even before we arrived to our car, I and my wife got the E-mail from USCIS that they have ordered production of a Green Card for my wife. Yes, Yes, Yes. Me and My wife both really appreciate to the members in Visa Journey.com, and will share our experience. Again, thank you very much to you all. Have blessed and nice Holidays.
Harassment Level : Very Good

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
