I have thought of it but it would be our intials with nothing too big ( I think I would freak about the needles going over and over and over and over

YES!!! In fact, I already have our initials, the date we married, and the saying in Irish Gaelic that we have on our rings (My soulmate with love forever). They are configured in an armband around my bicep. I drew it out myself and had it done for 200$.

As for the "bad luck" theory, Danette and I had both had "conventional" stuff throughout our first marriages. Obviously neither of those worked. So, why not go unconventional and break the "rules".

But in the end, it is for you yourself to decide. It IS a pretty much permanent thing.

No, for several reasons.

1. I spent four years dating my tattoo artist before I met my hubby, and saw a very LARGE percentage of name tattoos (for significant others, not people who had their kids' names or parents' names or what have you) come back in for cover-ups later. Cover-ups can be done well and done properly, but I've never seen one that I liked.

2. I don't like the way most name tattoos look.

3. A name tattoo, no matter how well done, wouldn't fit in with the current scheme of my body art-and there's a lot of that already.
