Getting approval in 2 to 3 months? Is it real?

It took us 5 1/2 months for NOA2. If people are getting it in 2 months and some in 3 months, then USCIS is being very unfair.

What about NVC? If on the same day they receive my paperwork that I submitted in August as someone that submitted their paperwork in Oct, would I go first, or are all dates reset to zero after the NOA 2 is sent out?

Thanks

Thanks, I appreciate that. And I would be super-pissed at USCIS too. Also, it's so much harder when you don't have an actual date that you're counting down TO, you're just waiting indefinitely... Like, if they said "you'll definitely have a decision by March 1st," you could handle it. But they can't even manage that!

Anyway, I say keep givin' 'em hell! (figuratively, of course!)

USCIS: I-130

* 08/27/2010 - Mailed I-130

* 08/31/2010 - I-130 signed for at Chicago Lockbox

* 09/02/2010 - NOA1 (receipt date)

* 09/10/2010 - NOA1 hard copy received

* 11/30/2010 - NOA2 - 89 days!

* 12/06/2010 - NOA2 hard copy received

NVC

* 12/06/2010 - Case received by NVC

* 12/08/2010 - Received NVC Case # and IIN; paid AOS fee

* 12/10/2010 - AOS fee marked PAID; mailed AOS packet; emailed DS-3032

* 12/12/2010 - Received email from NVC; emailed DS-3032 (again)

* 12/13/2010 - Mailed DS-3032 hard copy

* 12/15/2010 - NVC accepted DS-3032; IV bill invoiced; paid IV bill

* 12/16/2010 - IV bill marked PAID; mailed IV packet; AOS packet delivered to NVC

* 12/20/2010 - IV packet delivered to NVC

* 01/05/2011 - AOS packet entered into the system/reviewed; IV packet entered into system

* 01/10/2011 - SIF and Case Complete!!! - 37 days!

* 01/19/2011 - Interview date assigned--02/16/2011!!!

Consulate

* 02/03/2011 - Medical

* 02/16/2011 - Interview!!!

looks like you got your approval in 89 days. congratulations to you and hope everyone is getting there approvals sooner so they can be with their loved ones too.

If you had sent your application in 2 days earlier you would have been screwed like the rest of us. So that 2 days basically saved you four months.

:clock: I agree!! I got a very smart answer from an oct. filler that said that we (jun/jul/aug) are going through a DRAMA! It made me so furious!! They are acutally glad that their petition get aproved even though they JUST filed them!! Forgeting that the uscis is actualy using that time to process THEM instead of JULY!! That it's a "drama" to them....!!

http://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/278504-octobernovember-2010-immigrant-visa-filers-cr-1ir-1/page__st__495

Drama: "an exciting, emotional, or unexpected event or circumstance" (http://oxforddictionaries.com/view/entry/m_en_gb0243480#m_en_gb0243480)

I would say that the whole CSC to TSC situation is indeed unnecessary drama. They SHOULD have approved the petitions within the 5 months, and they SHOULD be doing something about it now.

The comment you refer to was not made in a derogatory tone, in fact, not a single person has said that they are glad you got pushed to the bottom of the pile and they got approved.

So before you go around shouting about the Oct/Nov filers, re-read the thread in a calm state and recognise that you are creating a mountain out of a molehill.

We don't need your word definition from your dictionary of something that we are experiencing first hand! We all know what "drama" word is commonly used for! It might be a molehill to you, but I can assure you that this "drama" as you call it it's very much a nightmare for all of us here!

:ot2:

So either you have some constructing ideas to add to this thread or go back and post this to your oct./nov. thread!

Learn to read things properly!

I wasnt stating that the CSC-TSC situation was a molehill. I was referring to the fact that you are taking a comment someone made in support of you out of context! :bonk:

Yep, exactly. And I remember being annoyed because it took a over a week to get our marriage certificate certified by the Dominican government...little did I know how that 1.5 week delay would save us countless months of waiting...I try to remember that whenever I feel impatient, either in this process, or anything else in life. Everything happens for a reason...

I have read numerous threads where people who applied in Nov and Dec are getting approvals already, does that mean the cases are moving at a fast pace due to low volume of applicants?

No, not at all.

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !
Ya know, you can find the answer to your question with the advanced search tool, when using a PC? Ditch the handphone, come back later on a PC, and try again.

USCIS website still shows 5 months, hopefully that gets reduced to 2 or 3 months. hope so. that would be a miracle. just a stupid question, can't they hire more people at these processing centers? and NVC? why can't a I130 have a premium processing option like H1B visa?

Because, it's unfair on those who can't afford premium processing. We should some loved ones be brought together sooner just because they're financially better off?
