I flew Asiana once from ORD-INC one time and it was OK. Neither good nor bad. I generally prefer Air China or United.

According to my Filipino friends, Asiana Airlines is not bad. Try Philippine and EVA airlines as well. I enjoyed EVA . I stopped over in Taipe for 2 hours.In my professional opinion, EVA has excellent customer service.

hi, we flew asiana twice roundtrip, LAX-INCHEON-MNL and back in 2009 and 2010... they are ok, great service, good food, very nice cabin crew team.. i will fly with them again. oh, we rode an older aircraft from SEOUL-LAX recently but its not too bad... it doesnt change my mind flying with them again :) and i like Incheon airport :)

Asiana is a great airline. Good food, great service. Great entertainment system (so many movies to watch). The free wifi at Incheon airport is great. You get free wine and beer (maybe mixed drinks, but I'm not certain.) on board.

They give you toothbrushes in the restroom and slippers during the flight.

I liked the seats as they actually moved forward when you put the seat back.

Korean Air is similar.

Asiana is great.. I've flown the JFK-MNL route 2x now.. We're flying Air China in April. Mabuhay!

Asiana was ok for me.

Japan Airlines was my favorite for serveral years they had one of the lowest rates also.

I just flew back from Manila a few weeks ago on Philippine Airlines and it seems they upgraded there fleet of planes with behind the seat monitors and Reccaro seats that were much more comfortable than the old worn out cusioned seats they had before also the interior cabin looks clean and updated.

Eva is also a good option.

I flew Korean Airlines from Atlanta to Manila with 1 stop in Korea .The Airline cabin and customer service were great . They actually gived you real silverware (knives , forks ) . The hostess were friendly and very professional . Check out their website .

Flew business class before, its a so-so airline. Just OK. but its customer service is better than Hawaiian airlines.

I flew Asiana last spring. The service is very good, but the IFE was somewhat outdated on at least one of the trans-pac flights. There were seatback personal screens, but the content was not "on-demand". There were just movies repeating on different channels. So whenever there was an interruption, you couldn't pause it or rewind it.

In today's market, airlines should have personal on-demand for every seat on long haul flights. In my opinion.

China Air has a great price on Manila to LAX. They also have a flight offered every other day that arrives at 11:45am instead of the usual 7:00pm. My baby will fly with them next week. Looking at booking now.

Asiana Airlines is good. I would put them above many "western" airlines and in the middle of the Asian Airlines.

My top 2 choices are Cathay Pacific & Singapore Airlines.

My wife just got a good fare from Cathay Pacific by booking directly with them (in Makati). It is from MNL to JFK: $700, I will upgrade it to first class using my points.

I suggest to avoid LAX like the plague. Send her to SFO as her POE if you can.........
