Thanks, sis. The same is true for any nation calling itself Islamic. Political states are not followers of Islam. Belief in God is individual, not collective, nor can belief be compelled by law. Once a religion is mandated by politicians, it is no longer willful, no longer a choice, no longer faith.

I believe you are going to have to embark on a long and ultimately futile campaign to get the majority of Muslims who practice a version of Islamic faith at odds with your own to rename their religion and faith, or you will need to do the same yourself. Until either occurs Islamic Republics which self identify as majority Muslim remain a fact of life.
