You pretend to be qualified to critique Islam and its "flavors", but you have no real credibility or understanding to do so. That you continue to lecture me as to what I need to accept about whose Islam is valid proves that fact on its face. To put it simply, when you speak of Islam, you, among others, apply a strict double standard that makes you sound ignorant. That you insist on flaunting your ignorance is unfortunate. I can't sugar coat that, sorry. I do wonder why you would rather be ignorant when you have the opportunity to change it.

I said that Pakistan is not an Islamic nation. Just having a bunch of Muslims in a place doesn't make that place Islamic. The bottom line is, your indignation at being reminded that you lack credibility not only to judge Muslims re this issue but, least of all to judge my views about something I've lived with from birth doesn't rescue your repeated misrepresention of pretty much anything relating to cultures, countries, histories, politics, rivalries, and a faith that are entirely foreign to you. Arguing about it as if you do know something makes that all too clear that you still dont. If you don't want me to comment on your willful ignorance, stop putting it in my face.

FWIW, they regularly make the same mistake by trying to claim the USA is a Christian nation. As one of their heroes once acknowledged, they don't do nuance! It is a critically important distinction for these subjects but not one they can get their minds all the way around.

Pornistan was the first nation to declare itself as "Islamic Republic" in 1956 (when it got its first constitution--every subsequent constitution has reaffirmed that designation). Thanks, sis. The same is true for any nation calling itself Islamic. Political states are not followers of Islam. Belief in God is individual, not collective, nor can belief be compelled by law. Once a religion is mandated by politicians, it is no longer willful, no longer a choice, no longer faith.
