we got a text from EMS said someone signed for the P3, also you can use online form email the guangzhou consulate, they are very nice and they usually get back to you within 24 hours(even the website say it might take 3 business days) or just call DOS, they are also very nice.(most of the time)

i know, i have an accountant degree as well  . but i like to talk more than just punch in # that why i ended up opening store. lol  i am writing off the part that business relate expenses.

LGC, I still haven't received packet 4, probably slowed down by the holidays. If you happen to receive your packet 4,I would appreciate a shout out.Our time frames are so close, we should both get our interview date about the same week.I hope it is soon, but as you said, I am looking for a Valentine day POE probably. Guangzhou is extremely busy Consulate. Went there for EOR letter to be notarized. Christmas week. Lots of people waiting in line. Lucky I got to walk to the front of the line. It still took me 1/2 an hour with very little waiting. They are probably processing hundreds of visa's a day. Just FYI

How important is it to get the EOR letter notarized? I sent my Fiancee the EOR Letter after I received the NOA2 letter, but I forgot to have the letter notarized. Is it important enough to get it reprinted now, notarized and fedexed to my Fiancee, or is it a no real problem type thing? Thanks , Bill

A notarized letter is nice but not required. Rather than FedEx, I would get it notarized, then scan and email it. She can then take the signed one plus the scanned notarized version.

As was said it is not required to get the EOR notorized. I emailed mine to my wife while she was in Guangzhou at Mr. Yangs apartment. ;)

That's what I did. Had mine notarized a couple of weeks before her interview, scanned and transferred the file to her for her to print. The VO read it, no problems. Quick pink.

Thanks everyone for the replies. I guess I will let her go with what she has, an original with my original signature.

I wanted mine notarized at the Consulate in Guangzhou so they know I was there. Hard to say I wasn't in China when I have their receipt and brass ring holding the 2 pages together. I have to take every extra precaution.

Cool.

Today wake up to some good news. P3 in hand, also EMS text us the P3 we sent yesterday, also get to the consulate and someone signed for it today.

Happy New Year LGC,

Do you mind telling me about the P3 forms your SO sent to Guangzhou since you didn't wait for the consulate's P3 package. Did you download forms from the consulate website and used those? I just hope those forms are always kept up to date and won't be rejected when our time comes.

Thanks!!

here's the link to the consulate page

http://guangzhou.usembassy-china.org.cn/forms_and_packets.htm

Read and fill out OF 169 form, in there they list everything you need to send back to consulate for P3. yes, i dled those forms from the consulate website.

i see no reason to wait for the P3 arrived before send out the P3 reply. you know what you need to send in from the website, so as soon as i know the P3 is issued. i send the P3 reply back to the consulate.

i double check with the P3 sent out from the consulate and what we sent out. other than, they stapled everything together and we didn't, i don't see any different.

LGC, No I haven't called DOS since right after I received the NOA2 letter.I am now in a holding pattern. I am a tax preparer, hense my login name, and My busy time is the next 6 weeks. So I really don't want my Fiancee to come here until Feb 14 or later. I am currently working 20 hours a day, so it is best she come after things slow down. I was hoping she would get here before the end of the year, but since that didn't happen, now it is best for us to wait a few weeks. We will have a lifetime together, and after waiting 7 months, whats a few weeks. I hope your fiancee gets here as quickly as you would like.Let me know, I will be checking every few days. But now I have to work. Good Luck, Bill
