The Yang's are very good people, if it wasn't for them reviewing what my wife had gathered for the interview and then requesting that I should email an EOR letter to my wife I don't know what would have happened.

LGC, congrats on the interview ... your fiancee certainly has a special date for Valentine's day. I've been keeping up with this thread since you and Speedytax sent your P3s right near the same time as I did. I just called DOS last night myself and was pleasantly surprised to hear my interview date was scheduled as well (Feb 28/March 1). The timing to find this out was great as I was just about to leave with my fiancee to her family's home and will be without internet access and convenient methods to contact the Consulate or DOS or receive the P4 for the next several weeks. We postponed our trip to her home 1 day as we'll book train or plane tickets today.

You may already know this, but the interview date they gave you at DOS MIGHT not be the actual date of her interview but the day she has to turn in documents. They are required to hand in docs the day before their interview, and as both of our dates are Monday, I think that must be the day to turn in docs and Tuesday will have the actual interview (I don't believe the Consulate is open to have them turn in documents on Sunday). Again, I'm not 100% positive the interviews are NOT on Monday, but I would be surprised if it is. Good luck to you and your fiancee!! I hope to hear some good news from you two and hear how it went when I get back from celebrating Spring Festival with my fiancee's family...

Oh, one other thing, if we have to turn in documents on Monday then it looks our fiancees will have to have the health check no later than Friday (at least if she's going to the Health Care Center of Guangdong International Travel). I called them yesterday and they said they only do exams M-F but you can pick up results Saturday morning.

yeah, looking like the 2/14, is for fingerprint and documents intake.

DOS told the interview was set 2/14 12:30. so i think that just the day before the actual interview.

i will have my fiancee go to guangzhou get the medical done friday and hopefully pick up the result by monday.

LGC, Feb 7th would be nice, but that is very close to the Chinese New Year, and they told me at the DOS 2 weeks ago, we should get the Packet 4 about 4 weeks before the interview.Feb 7 is only 2 weeks away and still nothing.Hopefully I will know tomorrow morning. I tried to call yesterday, after reading your posts, but they were closed for the weekend. Don't they work 7 days a week like I do?
