I notice that for the past 30 days Vermont Service Center has gone very slow processing K1-visa, or I can actually say it is at a complete stop.

I don't know if this information is true, but I heard that some employees have been transferred to process other type of visas.

I this information true? Does anyone has any updates when can we expect the VSC to start processing petitions the same way it did before one month ago?

I noticed the delay as well -- it does seem to be moving (just disgutingly slowly  ). Last time I looked at Igor's timeline July was being worked on and now it looks like August NOA2s are being processed). I'm hoping that after the holidays things will pick up.

I took into consideration the potential influx of applicants due to the reduced application fee. I was hopefully that Vermont would maintain its "traditional" lead/short time no such luck. In any breath at least they not beyond! :star: lol

They are processing petitions filed from four months ago, but as you say they have slowed to a near standstill. Lets just hope that they pick up sometime soon.

From what i can work out, adjudicators were pulled off of fiance(e) and spousal petitions to cope with the huge influx of I-821's http://dashboard.uscis.gov/index.cfm?formtype=21&office=6&charttype=1 These are time sensitive, so we just get put on the back burner. It sucks!!

Those who dont know what an I-821 is:

I-821 stands for "eligible national of a foreign state (or parts thereof) or an alien having no nationality who last habitually resided in a foreign state that has been designated for Temporary Protected Status. Temporary Protected Status (TPS) is a temporary immigration benefit that allows qualified individuals from designated countries (or parts of those countries) who are in the United States to stay here for a limited time period" Those countries are "El Salvador, Haiti, Honduras, Nicaragua, Somalia, Sudan.

In my opinion, tax paying citizen (who pays more $ to file) > non-citizen when it comes to visa/petition priorities.

The persons filing 821s are typically our (the USA) friends that are in harms way. Their petitions of necessity tend to be given priority over our convenience petitions. I just wish it wasn't "necessary" while my petition was waiting to be processed.:crying:

The annoying part is that it seems that CSC is going SO much faster. They had something like 5 K1 approvals on the 23rd, and VSC had 1...

Very true... I'm also a July Filer (Sent July 27th with an NOA1 date of Aug 3rd). Initially VSC was very far ahead of CSC and I was so thankful for that. Now it looks like we will all be approved at least after the 4 month time frame. Still trying to stay hopeful that they will speed up and we will all be approved any day now.
