Parents signing IMBRA RFE?

I am awaiting my IMBRA RFE which will get sent to my permanent address which is in the states. But since I currently am in Nicaragua and wont be back until I go back with my fiance, I am going to have my parents forge the papers for me and send them back. It will take a month for them to get down here and back and I dont want to wait for that extra time. What do you guys think? Will they notice the forgery?

Yikes -it's tempting but why risk it? Doesn't FedEx deliver to where you are?

Why don't you have your parents fax or e-mail the RFE to you? That way you can print it out, sign it and send it back.

Well first of all, there are going to be a lot of other things you need from the States for the next part of the process after you get your approval. What about your notarized form for the embassy? Or your financial records? Did you bring those with you?

I would not forge any official government documents. Why would you want to risk that? Spend the cash on courier and do it properly.

I would say thats one of the worst things you could do. Dont shortcut this process. It may come back to bite you in permanant ways. Its a risk I would not be willing to take.

The question posed is whether the time saved is worth the consequences. Probably not. But, the reality of the situation is the only one who would "catch" the forgery would be the child of mommy and daddy who wants the forgery to happen in the first place.

Not going to go on a tangent here, but it seems pointless to do this. 1st, the risk is very high. 2nd, the benefit may be nonexistant. It seems random in processing orders right now so it may not even save time ultimately. Add to that, there is always the possibility of someone becoming upset and this can be a loaded gun if someone turns spiteful...not saying it would happen, but it could be deadly in the wrong situation.

IMO, the money spent on the international shipping to and fro is worth not having to worry about the U.S. Gubment catching the forgery.

I agree with what has already been stated. It isn't really worth the risk. You could lose any chance whatsoever of having your application accepted at all. Is the time that it would take for shipping worth that risk? I personally don't think so.
