NVC MAKES MISTAKES.

was approaching week 3 of NVC, decided to log on and check for sif, no sif, ah what the heck, I called, and the AVR said missing documents. Called back and spoke to an operator. Operator said Civil Brazilian Certificate needed. Asking myself what is this? they only need a federal police certificate and seguranca do publica (state police) certificate. So I emailed the embassy. they responded very early the next morning with: "we suggest you call back NVC and have them clarify what they want, we only require the federal and state police certificates". So this time when I called I said that I had emailed the embassy and they specifically told me to call you back because they don't know what the *&$% your talking about! Was immediately transfered to a supervisor who explained to me that the state police certificate was not in the correct format, and that they needed the correct certificate to complete the process. this was back on the 1st of October. so I called my wife immediately and told her to get a new one and mail it to me asap. She mailed it on Oct 5, ( to this day, I still do not have the certificate from her). I stopped paying attention to NVC, no calls to AVR, no log in's to the website, (why should I do this if they need a document?) Then on October 14 received and email that case was completed on the 5th or 6th, can't remember now and that your interview date was set for NOV 8th. HMMMM, how could this be? The wife did NOT mail the document to them, and there is no way that they would have received it that quickly even if she did mail it to them. Word of advice, even if you have been given a checklist and you believe you sent in all the correct documents, still pay attention to NVC.

i called NVC yesterday and it was only AVR...the message is...'' THE NVC REVIEWED YOUR PACKET FORMS AND FOUND DOCUMENTS ARE MISSING/INCOMPLETE the CHECKLIST FOR WAS SENT ON NOV 5...'''

i hope it was only a false RFE...

yes, you will have to wait till tomorrow and then call and speak to an operator. Have your paperwork in front of you, so that if you know you sent something, then ask to speak to a supervisor. the supervisor will explain in detail. It was shortly after I got off the phone with the supervisor that I received 2 emails from the previous day, and then that night I received another 2 emails from the discussion with the supervisor. Both emails explain exactly what is missing or incorrect and was complete with a checklist response cover sheet. So if you do in fact have a ledgit RFE or checklist as it is called with NVC, then send in the requested documents with the coversheet and your all set. The worse part from what I hear is waiting for them to be entered into the system. And DON'T LET YOUR GUARD DOWN! Keep checking the AVR and the log in page, just in case they pull another fast one....

YES..will call NVC tomorrow..im praying it was only FALSE RFE...its realy bad to stay in NVC that long...

i sent my AOS first then after a week i sent my DS230 after 3 days again i sent my NBI-national bereau of investigation/police clearance in other country....

We got one for the I-864. My husband had not added up the assets column properly. I wanted to wring his neck.

Cost us nearly two weeks in waiting time.

we got an RFE at the USCIS stage. I didnt photocopy both sides of my divorce decree...so there was no proof it was actually filed with the court in their eye (court stamp was on the back). That delayed us a month since I was in Kuwait at the time. At least I had everything there with me and was able to send it...but I couldnt send it express

Luckily I was expedited through the NVC so they didnt have a chance to mess things up.

I just recently called NVC..and the operator said that..’’ its our AOS..we have incomplete info..they need my husband 2009 IRS tax..but actually its included in our AOS that we’ve sent to them…how’s that??? Why is that happen??? And they don’t know when they goin to send the checklist letter because they are still reviewing our ds230 and our NBI… what do I need to ask them?? Do I need to speak to their supervisor???

Got an RFE for both USCIS and NVC stage. but thankfully both RFE did not hold up the process too long. it seems like on the USCIS stage, a few days after the RFE was received back, the process moved forward to approval. and then on the NVC stage, had to correct one section in the AOS form for kids. but i submitted it with my ds-230 packet so that they would only have to deal with one packet instead of two in their system.

I received 2 RFE's for the AOS. 1 for not including a letter of employment (which I did but it must not have been good enough) and 2 for having a mistake on #25. The #25 is the one I am wondering about. Oh well, I will find out soon enough. Just have to wait for them to ding my for my DS230.

We had an RFE for the 2 passport photos of the beneficiary. We had included them as well, but according to the NVC they were missing. I (the beneficiary) took the pictures again, and sent them by Fedex directly to the NVC. It cost us an extra 6 weeks of just waiting until we finally got our Case Complete.

i got 2 RFE on different case @ NVC

my 1st RFE is the AOS the bank statement

and the 2nd RFE is AOS the FORM I-864W instead of I-864
