You do not HAVE to POE anywhere, there is no mandatory POE site for you. Your POE will be the first place you enter the US or where you pre-clear. For example, I went through immigration/customs in Toronto on my way to Atlanta

Good luck

Agree with canadian_wife.

My final destination was Chicago, but I flew first from Managua to Houston. So my POE was Houston; it could have been Atlanta or Miami. I chose Houston because from the POE reviews it seemed a better POE than Miami. So it's up to you where you POE. Good luck!

I was wondering about that for my husband also. I am a us citizen and I have gone through numerous POE sites all over the US (as a citizen). I recently went through the San Juan POE and it was really nice and seemed to be running very smoothly (I could be totally wrong, that's just what I saw :) . I have entered the US through Miami and JFK and both are so busy that I am hoping that my husband will have his POE somewhere less hectic. We are still just going through the process but maybe sometime at the beginning of next year we will have good news like you too

His POE will depend on the airline ticket purchased. Period.

your port of entry is the first US City in yer airline ticket iternary.

Based on what you wrote, I assume it to be JFK.

Good Luck !
