Where do you see 700. I added up the increases on i130 , i485 and biometrics and get 125... So long as submitting i765 and I131 concurrently with 485, it's not that big of a hike since they'd be free, right?

Do you really need your SSN before you're married? I don't think you do in most states.

If you do need your SSN I don't think it is realistic. It takes 2-3 weeks to show up in the SSN computer after crossing then another week for it to be mailed.

If you don't need the SSN, the issue will be waiting for your marriage cert. If you can deliever the license to the county recorder yourself it should be doable but if not it will be tight.

It's only an increase of $60. If you get married and send off your AOS paperwork before the 90 days, you only have to send off the I-485 and do biometrics. The EAD and AP fees are waived when you apply for AOS. The I-130 is only needed if you are applying after getting married outside of the 90 day window K1 holders are given. The total cost is going from $1010 to $1070.

Only 1070? wow...i heard the 1700 in another forum..then i looked up the prices for the single forms: I 485: $985 $, I 131-$360 and I. 765 $380 on the uscis page.

So where does it say that EAD and AP fees are waived? Must be blind..did not find that on an official page! Please would you post the link? That would be awsome!

I think it says it on the intrudtions for the i485. I remember checking and double checking since you don't expect anything to be free once you see the AOS fees lol.

Not sure about that, but if you submit after that date, I would double check you have the latest version plus latest intructions. I'd assume that's where any changes would be highlighted. Also to be on the safe side, check the filing fees day before you send!

Yes I will :-)

Thanks alot for the support..and i am now pretty sure that they might have raised the fees on the single forms, but that there is no evidence so far that they also changed that you have to pay the EAD and AP.

I´ll cross fingers for us all.

Please note that, if you file Form I-485 to adjust your status as a permanent resident on or after July 30, 2007, no additional fee is required to also file an application for employment authorization on Form I-765 and/or advance parole on Form I-131.

This was cut and pasted from the USCIS site. Nowhere does it say that it applies only to work visas.

Took my husband 8 business days to receive his social security card. In Maryland, you need a SSN to get a marriage license. Took it to the courthouse, got the license, then were married 48 hours later. Whole thing took less than 2 weeks. You might be able to swing it.

Ahh you don't need an SSN to get married but can apply for one 3 weeks after as you will be in the system of H Security by then and as far as the AOS it is $1010 now and the EAD and AP are waived and included along with the biometrics..

Divorced !st November 2012.

I really dont like that people dont check their facts before posting stuff here, the increment for AOS will be $55 more and not $700 that is from $930 to

$985. so dont get too scared.http://www.uscis.gov/portal/site/uscis/menuitem.5af9bb95919f35e66f614176543f6d1a/?vgnextoid=5be73dc5cb93b210VgnVCM100000082ca60aRCRD&vgnextchannel=68439c7755cb9010VgnVCM10000045f3d6a1RCRD
