Probably when your receive a letter stating they received it. I believe it states on the letter what Service Center its going to. Also, if you sign up on the USCIS website, after you get a RECEIPT NUMBER, you can get updates via email/text every time there is an update on your file.

Send it to Texas. They will either send you a NOA and/or update the online tracking system to tell you when and where they send it.

Phil (Lockport, near Chicago) and Alla (Lobnya, near Moscow)

As of Dec 7, 2009, now Zero miles apart (literally)!

Send the petition to the address in the I-129F instructions(which is the one from Texas). They'll cash your check and then forward the petition to the right service center. You don't have to worry about it. Just a few days after your petition is sent, they'll send you an email/sms with your receipt number and they'll add "and has been routed to ____ Service Center"(California or Vermont)

You might as well add more details on your profile. :) That would have helped a lot. Or simply google it "Vermont Service Center Jurisdiction" and then "California Service Center Jurisdiction" and see for yourself. :P Texas will not process your petition, they just cash checks or so and then they forward the package to the corresponding SC. Nebraska doesn't do anything for K-1s.

Only the service centers in CA and VT adjudicate I-129F's.

I did some searching and found this website shows which service centers have jurisdiction in certain states. Just scroll down to "filing the application."

KEEP IN MIND that the information predates the use of the Dallas lockbox facility for sending I-129F petitions. Furthermore, minor changes in service center jurisdictions for I-129F petitions may have occurred since the Dallas lockbox became active and may not be publicized since it would not be necessary to do so as service centers no longer accept I-129F's directly (they would send them back with instructions to mail them to the Dallas lockbox).

It is OK to use the Dallas lockbox address on the necessary letters you will be including with your I-129F.

Good luck and best wishes!
