We are next on completing the 5-month waiting period. I was praying to have our NOA2 without having to do all these things to keep the petition moving but I have a feeling its unavoidable. Well, here I am at the 5 month mark. 152 days and still no approval from CSC. Monday I will be faxing my Senator and Representative requesting their assistance in moving things along. I hope that it will help.

John

I hear yah! My fiance will also be doing the same thing monday morning. I find it laughable that the senators website stresses that uscis are extremely "STRICT" on the order petitions are received! ha!

Good luck to you both and hopefully we'll both be receiving those elusive NOA2's this week!

Well I know this question wasn't for me, but I thought i'd let you guys know that I've called twice since I am nearly a week past 5 months, and neither times could they do a service request. I even called back and talked to a tier 2 officer, and she said they could only do a service request if I called back in 15 days. If you guys get any good response from them, let me know. But they only seem to do them if youre nearly at 6 months, or if youre in the military and need an expedite.

I called USCIS about a week ago and talked to a Tier 2 ISO.

My USCIS experience

I will be faxing my Senator and Representative Monday and calling USCIS again sometime this week. Not sure what day as I need to have enough time in my schedule to be on hold for a while. Right now I'm looking at calling on Wednesday. Maybe one of my Congressmen can get things moving before I call.

That's really a stressful situation!!

My fiancee came to California and met my parents back in Christmas 2008 and she was a little nervous too but that went really well.

I've visited my fiancee's parents a bunch of times. I was really really really nervous the first time since I pictured them as strict Japanese parents. Her family line has been in Tokyo forever and he dad is a descendant from Samurai so that didn't make things easier.

But that went really great too!! Japanese men are sometimes expected to be stoic. But I just her mom a big bear hug!!

we're not at 5 month mark til 20th of this month. But my fiancee had a positive skin test result for tb. We were kind of devistated and surprised. This all came about cuz she had a bad cough and cold and went to have CXR for that and they could distinguish if she had pneumonia or ptb. They gave her the skin test and it was positive. She gets 3rd sputum smear tomorrow and also results. I can only hope they are negative. Because of the positive skin test they have started her on the ptb treatment.

So with regards to our NOA2, sure we still want it and will proceed as normal when we get it, but right now it is being overshadowed by my Fiancee's health. That's first for us right now.

But would still like to see that NOA2 ASAP!!!!

I'm so glad it went well every time for you! Do her parents speak English or do you speak Japanese? Or does she translate? I don't think I will have a chance to see my fiancé's parents. :( I'd love to, even with the language barrier!

The meeting with my parents went well. My fiancé was so nervous, so I am glad it's over and we can all just relax together for the rest of their vacation here.

TeddyHoney, I am really sorry to hear about the positive skin test. :( I hope everything turns out okay and you get your NOA2 soon!

I hope everyone else will now be seeing the same! I called USCIS this morning and was polite but also kept insisting things were not right! I never got to a level 2 or service request so I don't know if the call helped. Obviously didn't hurt though!!
