Yes transcribed it all onto I-693 :) and then sealed it in an envelope but gave me a copy of the vaccination part.

Brandi

Eh? Whats with these new requirements? Can you please elaborate? Copying what happened to me from another thread.

Hi All,

I had my interview for the green card on Oct 6th. And I had completed my medicals at Appollo hospital in India. And my vaccination documentation worksheet looks like this.

I've had varicella. I received vaccines for tentanus and MMR. The rest have been checked as not appropriate for age and for influenza it was not the flu season. The doctor has then checked vaccine history incomplete but the applicant may be eligile for blanket waiver because vaccination are not not medically appropriate.

Now the interviewing officer said that he cannot approve our case if it says vaccine history incomplete. He said he wasn't aware of what vaccines we needed to take further, but the worksheet should not say vaccine history incompelte!?

It was clearly mentioned that for the rest of the vaccines i was age inappropriate. He said he would send us an RFE and that we would have to go to a civil surgeon. He said everybody whose come on K1 has had this problem. I really just this it is a mistake on his part, but there was no way we could argue with him.

Can you guys tell me what ur vaccination worksheet says and if anybody faced such a problem.

Thanks,

Sowmya

It seems the MMR vaccine is now a time sensitive vaccination in the USA. I had mine when I was 5 because you require it to begin school. NOW the US is making people redo the MMR vaccination to be recent/ current. So what we now have to do is take the original DS vaccination form to the civil surgeon along with a document from a clinic stating that you have had a 'new' MMR shot and they will fill out the required sections on the I-693 and then seal it in an envelope and give you a vaccination copy of I-693 for your records. The sealed envelope is what goes in the package. If you met all requirements for the K1/3 visa and age appropriate box is checked (as mine was) you will more than likely need another MMR shot documented on I-693.

All of this for a fee of course(my total was $50 new MMR shot and $10 to fill out I-693 and seal it). Do NOT let them do a complete medical again unless you do not have a copy of the DS form with vaccinations on it.

Well it seems my original mistake was to not include part 1 and part 5 of the I-693 with the vaccination section.

so bascially i just wasted loads of maoney for nothing, and was told to do so by USCIS..

I was told on the phone, i needed to get part 1 part 2 and part 5 completed, it turns out this isnt the case.. after reading the instructions AGAIN (i swear they change these daily) i appears all that was needed was part 1, THE VACCINATION section of part 2 and part 5 of the I-693.. (This is the important part to remember if you are lacking a shot)

That would of cost me about $50 instead of $250 for the whole thing.. :bonk: :bonk: :bonk:

I am sooo annoyed at myself and USCIS now.. this is ridiculous, why do they constantly give out information which is incorrect!! and why do i seem to miss the important parts of all instructions. :crying:

ahh well, i now have a full I-693 check so they cant possibly find anything wrong with that!!!

Thanks Brandi.

I got mine on 14th April 2010. So I hope that is still within their valid time window. I refuse to take another dose of MMR. So maybe all they need is ppl to fill out the I-693, with a new vaccination record that says everything is complete?

If the panel physician in the foreign country marked the DS-3025 as "incomplete" then you must have the vaccinations transcribed to an I-693 by a civil surgeon in the US. There are a whole lot of reasons why a particular vaccination might not be appropriate for a particular person, and an immigration officer is not qualified to make the determination whether the medical requirements have been met. The law requires this determination to be made by a civil surgeon.

Agreed. My DS-3025 was marked incomplete even though I'd had all appropriate shots. I still had to go to a CS and pay $50 to have the shots transcribed into the I-693 so that I had proof that a doctor said I was "good to go" vaccinations wise.

Thanks Brandi.

That's exactly the point. IF you're up to date then you go to a CS and he'll simply copy it over into the I-693. If you're NOT complete then he'll tell you and instruct you as to which shots you still require.
