Hi, Lucy4 and Mo_Mati. I remember both of you from when we were all waiting for AOS two years ago!

I have a silly question about putting the pkg together, I honestly cant remember from the K1, and AOS. How should the package be fastened. Should the whole thing be stapled? left loose? Should I staple or just paper clip the check?

For both AOS and K-1 (I-129F), the recommendation was NOT to staple your package. Instead, fasten it using a two-hole punch at the top of the pages. As for the check, hmm, I don't really remember specific advice about that, but what we did both times was put the check in an envelope and attach that envelope to the front of the package using the two-hole punch clip. I did not want to give them any excuse to lose my check!! I would think paper clip would be fine also. I'd recommend against stapling it just because it could be torn when they remove it.

This Friday is the first day we can file, but we will probably at least need the weekend to get our package together. Hoping to file--and official join this thread!--next Monday. :)

I don't think there is a difference... Vermont is just terribly slow. I'm sure all of the winter storms didn't help matters either. It was the same way when we went through the CR1 process 2 years ago

What we did is just bought a folder with pockets in it... and i just make sure that it has the a# on each of the pages...

Hi SonoranSongbird, I think I remember you too. What I ended up doing was fastening the evidence together with a small staple in the upper left corner, paperclipping the check to the 3 pg I-751 form, and putting a large paper clip on the entire package. I put the whole thing in a file folder with "I-751 removal of conditions for: (husbands name) and A#123-45-678" written on the tab.

I just sent my stack of papers in a Priority Mail envelope, with the check on top of the stack. It was cashed, no problem. I didn't punch the holes, as I figure they have the properly-spaced hole punches there and I don't. :)

We are in! File sent on October 5th and check cashed on the 13th. Still waiting for the NOA1

Anyone know what kind of time frame we are looking at for approval? I have not been keeping track recently, and I get so confused by the timelines on VJ! Anyone have an estimate?

Someone in the August Filers thread was approved in 6 weeks! I didn't read through the thread to see if there was some expedite involved... There are folks from May (and earlier, I'm sure, that's just the last thread I checked) still waiting... average time for the ones I glanced at appears to be 4 months or so.

We are in! File sent on October 5th and check cashed on the 13th. Still waiting for the NOA1

Anyone know what kind of time frame we are looking at for approval? I have not been keeping track recently, and I get so confused by the timelines on VJ! Anyone have an estimate?
