Okay guyz :)

I have good and bad news here... Good news is the consul lady said that everything is OK but the bad news is they want a joint sponsor packaged mailed to the USEM... Apparently a year of 36k is not enough to cover for 3 years of 6k :D So, the consul said they will DHL my passport with the visa as soon as they get the co-sponsor dox! :) I

I'm having some mixed feelings right now, but I can say that overall I feel happy and relieved that (besides this minor hick-up) we are good to go! Thank you everyone for the help, support and for the wishes! I have some big THANK YOUs to say but I'll do that when I receive my passport back and I am 100% sure we are done with this process!

Another good news is I'll be hanging around here for a bit longer! :P:innocent:

Having said that I want to add - Guyz, listen to ur wives more often! :hehe: If hubby had only followed this simple rule... :bonk: Haha! :whistle:

Good luck ya'll! :star:

Guys, guys, guys, and that that one rare girl on the interwebs, I got my IIN. Read my last post in this thread. But thanks for hoping well for moi.

One bit of advice: when using sites with forms, especially when it's government related, use Internet Explorer. Because most of these sites are optimized for or designed with the assumption that you are using IE. Sucks that we have to use IE. But I found Chrome try to do fancy things with these olden sites and it just messes things up.

Check you entered all info correct to login there. Also, as others said, use IE.

@I&G, Thank you!

@Debby & Indigo, Congratulations for IIN! Get ready for payment and mailing AOS and IV packages!

@FatimaEl,

If the co-sponsor lives at sponsor's address - Sponsor files I-864 and co-sponsor I-864A

Looked at it, faintly it is stamped cancelled. Did you mention in your cover letter (contents) as to why you included it (ie. cancelled due to name change)?

Also, with the passport pictures, did you put them in a bag similarly to the I-130 requirements?

Milena,

$88 AOS fee is for domestic (within the U.S) AOS review. I don't think you have to pay it again. But make sure it with the Consulate as well.

Also, make sure no scanned, faxed signature on co-sponsor's AOS. It has to be ORIGINAL signature.

Heather&Matt, it is good if you put the PP photos in a small bag, so that it won't run around inside the package and ultimately missing by NVC.

I was checking all the docs for AOS and I just noticed that my Co sponser has not changed her resident card to her married name. Will this be a problem??!!

I just read this and I am sure you got an answer, but my sis also had a green card with her maiden name I had no problems!

:star:

Milena I PM you with an answer...don't worry hon everything will work out so just get your co-sponsor's packet to the USEM as soon as possible!!
