Great news today! Add me and my husband to the November Interviews. We received email today for interview on November 18th!!!! I am so so happy! :)

VISA APPROVED!!!!! sorry for the delay I was in Colombia since Nov. 3 and came back yesterday. Everything was easy, no many questions but a lot of emotional tears..... finally with Mom again !!!!!! She will come in 10 days maybe, we are waiting for her passport.

Dear friends.

Can u Please tell me what happens during medical check-up??? what they do and what tests are performed and what shots are given? My wife is very nervous she has it on 11th november. i myself dont know anything about it. would really like to know.

any complications if she had C-section in the past?

I am not a medical person but they are checking to ensure your wife is basically healthy. It pretty basic but complete exam much like an annual physical. I have not had one but would guess they will take vitals, do blood work, urine analysis, Visual body examination so your wife will have all parts examined or looked at. They will take chest X-ray also. C Sections does not matter at all. That is a procedure and not communicable. With regards to shots it will depend on what your wife has been inoculated with already. She should take her shot record with her. You can go to the CDC and see what shots are required. Do a search on your wife's country for medicals and see what other VJer have experienced. VISA APPROVED :dance:

Got to the USEM at 12:00 went through security. Got a number and waited about 20 minutes got called to window 9.

The pre screen lady was awsome we have three files so mounds of paperwork was enormous. it took her about 40 minutes with us standing at the window to go through all the documents. She was very friendly and had alot of conversation with my wife.

She asked the normal questions when did you meet, how many times I had been in CR, has my wife ever been to the US. She said have a seat and we will be called, sat there about 20 minutes and got called to do the fingerprints, this took about 2 minutes to complete and the lady said please have a seat again.

We sat about 20 more minutes and got called to the window by the CO he asked my wife to swear everything is the truth and asked her to sign part 2 of the DS-230.

He looked at me and asked are you the petitioner I said yes he asked me what do I do for a living, I answered he then said you can pick up the visas tomorrow at 3pm. I was in shock he didnt ask my wife one question, didnt look at any evidence not one photo nothing.

I thought this was strange so I said "so there approved" his reply was "of course why not". I couldnt believe it not one question.

The experience was great not one problem and the people in the USEM were a pleasure. We were in and out in about 2 hours total. :dance::dance::dance::dance::dance:

wow congrats to everyone and including I&G. So many people have had their interviews already and most have got approved, and gives me hope for my husband. Lucky those people that are done with all this journey, I still have to wait until the 23rd, god hopefully will help me and everyone else. Congrats one more time to everyone and happy reunions to all the families.

the 23 is a good date, that's the date the kingston, jamaica embassy gave us for our blue slip interview.. to drop off our passports

There is a list of approved doctors on the Islamabad consulate web site, that you can get. And then call the doctor in your city to find out in advance. Well today is the 10th, but call today if you can.

Can I ask how long did it take from the time NVC approved your case till your interview ? I am trying to forecast my dates.

02-25-2010 : Received NVC case number, but NVC is closed, so I can't give an operator our emails. :-(

02-27-2010 : Jumped the gun and emailed the VJ version of the DS 3032. Who knows what will happen :-)

03-01-2010 : Gave the operator both emails...waiting on DS3032 kit

03-02-2010 : Received DS3032 Kit; Resent DS3032 (just in case), Received AOS bill.

03-03-2010 : Paid AOS and IV bills; both are IN PROCESS

03-03-2010 : VJ email version of the DS3032 accepted (It was the one that was sent on 02-27-2010)

Hello all my friends!!

Just wanted to give an update... I received my husbands Visa within three days of interview and today we are going home to NY!! So very happy and grateful to God for all his help!!

The Embassy here in Chile was outstanding!! I will write a full review once I get home...

Thanks to all who helped me along the way, I am very grateful...
