Guys I need your help especially to those who are done with their interviews. I already sent all the documents that my fiancee will need for her interview but I do have one question. Should the copy of my federal income tax come from the IRS or the copy from my accountant that prepared my tax returns sufficient? Please help, her interview is next week...

My lawyer said the official copy from the accountant is sufficient . It's just they need to see how much you make - they probably will glance over them as I hear but i guess it depends on the embassy what they want.

Still waiting for one of his Police checks. They say their turn around time is about '2 days' and at max '2 weeks'.. It's been a month.

All the emails have been met with "We don't have a phone number, so you just gotta wait. We sent it." (Even though the Police HQ says they didn't get it.)

Fun! :P

I'm late in the process compared to all of you :crying: but we received a letter from NVC dated of the 7th April saying they received our case.

What is the next contact with NVC?

Are they going to send us a text or a letter saying our petition left NVC? or a text with our case number?

I will ask my fiancé to call them tomorrow.

Have him call NVC and see if it has left for the embassy. It's likely it is already there (unless there was additional processing necessary).

Our interview is Monday morning Moscow time...so late tomorrow night here. I won't be there because petitioner is not allowed to attend interviews in Moscow. Instead I will be nervous as heck and trying to sleep. I'm glad she is the one being interviewed and not me. She is excited, happy, and not the slightest bit nervous about this life defining event. But really, we have nothing to be worried about; we have an amazing relationship, we have all of our documents in order, and she is a sharp cookie. Why am I still nervous?
