I think i got my NOA1 tonight....I'm not sure!! the email just says it has been received and I should be getting something in the mail in the next week..... what does that mean and if it is the NOA1, does someone wanna help me update the timeline on this thread ? lol

Today has been soooooooooooooooooooooooooo encouraging. I love this site and everyone on it! I seriously would never have figured out how to do any of the application without the love and support from you guys.

We received this email today (September 22), is this our NOA1????

Dear Applicant/Petitioner:

Your USCIS application/petition has been received and routed to the Vermont Service Center for processing. Within 7-10 days by standard mail you will receive your official Receipt Notice (Form I-797) with your Receipt Number XXXXXXXXXX. With the official Receipt Notice (Form I-797) you may visit www.uscis.gov where you can check the status of your application using My Case Status. We suggest you wait until you have received your Form I-797 before checking My Case Status.

This confirmation provides notification of the date USCIS received your application/petition. This notice does NOT grant any immigration status or benefit. You MAY NOT present this notice as evidence that you have been granted any immigration status or benefit. Further, this notice does NOT constitute evidence that your application remains pending with USCIS. The current status of your application/petition must be verified with USCIS.

So what do you guys think, should I check my status now? Or do that after the hard copy?

You could try now. It'll either work or it won't. Mine didn't work until about five days after I received my NOA1 email.

So it seems like finally on route we can get in on Monday, after the Germany Mail Deutsche Post screwed me over and lost my papers, had to send it express fed ex for 60 bucks yest and it gets to my baby today.. so hopefully he gets it together for express mail by monday

Hi everyone! Tomislav and I just sent our I-129F forms to Dallas and I just checked the tracking status from USPS and it says "Notice Left." So hopefully they receive it for real soon! I'm nervous and excited and anxious about the next steps in this process and am so glad to be able to have this resource here so I can talk about it with you guys :)

9/21/10--I-129F mailed to Dallas

9/29/10--NOA1 (email and text message)

9/29/10--Check cashed

10/1/10--NOA1 hardcopy received (dated 9/27 and sent to VSC)

10/3/10--Touched (everyone touched)

10/4/10--Touched!

04/19/11-NOA2!! (FINALLY! After 204 days)

Major change of plans - the wait was too long for us and I ended up moving to Croatia in June 2011.

Married 06/09/12 <3

9/3/12 - I-130 NOA1
