Is the email receipt the same as noa1?

If yer asking about any 'email' that might come in as a result of including the G-1145 on initial submittal,

then 'somewhat'.

It should contain the USCIS Receipt #.

Good Luck !

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !

Hi Guys, Jen and I filed this month too and received our NOA1 on Sept 17th.

We are at CSC too.

Unfortunately due to my wife's condition and her grandmother - we have had to request an expedite. That was on Friday, so maybe we will hear something next week.

Its strange as I went though the k1 process with my ex wife - she was in ct and the i129 went to VT. Jen is in NJ and we are CSC.

I remember filing for our k1 and our petition was sent around september time in 06 and it was approved late Nov, with VT being backed up even then. So hopefully we may see some approvals coming in in the not too distant future.

Good luck .

I'm not too sure how the lock box facility determines where they go. I'm on the east coast and mine was sent to Cali , I noticed most others are also going to Cali. Oh well, I dont think it really matters anyway.

About the 1145: you could write down Santa Claus info on that one and Santa Claus will be the one getting the Texts and emails... not a problem there... the rest I dont know since its a very different case from mine.

If you put Santa Claus he will get mad and put you on naughty list because this time of year he is getting busy with toy orders.

Yes, we sent in the K3 petition today. I am doing it just incase the cr1 gets delayed for some reason. If it gets delayed, hopefully the K3 will get approved and she can come to the US on that while the CR1 is processed.

Just got my NOA1 on the K-3 visa. It was sent to California as well. 9-30-2010

how do you know it was touched?

i am looking on the USCIS and i can only find 'check case status' which only shows four steps to the process, ours is at 'initial review' dunno if its being touched or gathering dust...

Go to "sign up for case updates", create an accout, add you case numbers to your "portfolio", select the notifications and you will see it.... Every time they change the "last updated" date it means that they were working on it the last day indicated... That its a "touch"...

This early in the game being not touched could be a good sign. Means everything looked in order and is in line to be processed? Maybe if a file is being touched a lot now it means something aint right? Think of it that way. Either way this whole process from the day you mailed the 130 to the day you will be having your interview is average 6 months, touched or no touch lol.

Actually Truebrit, your in the best shape here because by the time you do your interview you will already have been married 3 years. That means you get the regular "10 year" Greencard. You wont have to go thru this ####### agai in 2 years to remove the condition of residency. See now you have something to smile about.
