GOOD NEWS for a RECALL who made it out of CSC!!!

The immigration specialist at Congressman Wu's office just called to tell me that NVC has received my reaffirmed K-1 petition!!! The weird thing is, I still have not heard anything about this from CSC. No online update, no letter, no email, NADA, not even a touch since July 12. But my congressman's guy says he talked to the liason at both CSC (who said my case had been reapproved adn sent on to NVC), and the liason at NVC who said they had received my file yesterday in a box full of other reapproved recalled petitions. Maybe they were saving all the recalls up to send back at one time, I don't know. The NVC person said they weren't sure if a new case number would be assigned, or if the old one would still be used, and that the file should be back at the embassy in Paris within a couple of weeks.

My first reaction was full out ecstatic, but then I thought, gee, I'd sure like to see something in writing. My congressman's guy says I should be receiving a letter from NVC within a week or so, and that if I don't get it within 2 weeks, to call him back. So what's up with not actually getting a new NOA2 or anything from CSC, I wonder, or maybe that will come later???? Anybody hear of something like this before? Can I breathe a sigh of relief, or what??? B) :energetic:

I received a I-797C Notice of action about a week after they approved my case. CSC appears to be handling it differently. I have not recieved anything from NVC yet, although it has only been 5 snailmail days since they got it and sent it to the consulate. I was elated once I finally found out that the USCIS no longer had my petition in their possession.

Oh yeah, they also used my old NVC case number also.

Thanks to all of you, especially my drinking buddies who have put up with my rants and ramblings, and all of you here who provided moral support and words of encouragement when I felt like my head was under water and I was about to succomb to the depths. Look at it this way, CSC "works" in mysterious ways. Maybe they are saving up all the March and April orphan approvals for the end of the week and will issue them all at once!!!! We can only hope. I'd still feel better if I had a letter in hand!!! Does it sound like I don't trust my government???? Keep the CSC love fest going today, William!!!! Maybe the good vibes will carry the day!!!! I love you guys, keep on hanging on!!!

But remember, the government may trust you enough to file a K-1 petition, then divorce your SO when it's more convenient

Hey there, fellow Portlander!!! I see from your timeline that NVC got yours off to the embassy in less than a week. That is more good news! Hopefully they can keep up the pace!!!! Good luck to you at the embassy in Germany! B)
