There is no "minimum time". The only requirement is that you must have met in person in the last 2 years before filing. If you file after her visit in September then you meet that requirement.

That doesn't mean though that your embassy won't question a short relationship, but technically they can't refuse you for not knowing each other for a while. Also bear in mind that it take around 3 months to get NOA2, so if she files in September it would almost be a year since you met online. Just get a lot of proof of your relationships. Chat logs, phone logs etc..

There is no minimum time that you have to know each other before you file. you just have to prove that you have seen each other withing two yrs of filing so it is best she file when she come back from her visit in September as you have said. Also make sure you are keeping all the phone records and chat records take pics on her visit and she should keep her boarding passes and ticket stubs if at all possible....Good luck

hank you guys i appreciate it but i still need some more

What you need more of is experiance. You have been given the answer to your stated question.

You should now begin to educate yourself about the process which will serve to ease your mind about your situation & what you need to do next. Study the guides here on V J & the forms required to prepare yourself for the future. That will help you formulate rational questions & understand the answers. That will keep you from jeopardizing your chances as you fear.

Read over the forms to find any areas that YOU will have to have input or sign & do so in Sept.
