I was just wondering if anyone received any feedback from CSC regarding their i130 petition for April or any other months? I know this is a long shot here but maybe someone has some insight on what is possibly the delay in approvals. I know we are all in the same boat but maybe someone on here has first hand knowledge of the delay.

Technically it says it can take up to 6 months for an approval. Is anyone past the 6 month period? If so then that would be considered a delay.

Anything before 6 months just means NVC is beating their deadlines.

It took 2 months for us to receive the NOA2 from CSC for I-130. Usually, cause of delay is lack of evidence or there are just too many applicants. Give them a call once or twice a week.... thats what we did.

We receive the NOA1 after 7-8 months... they keep telling us that our papers still in process and that we should call after few days just like u but guess what? ITS MISSING. They finally admit it after my husband got irritated. He keeps asking them what we should do but they keep telling us again that they were trying to trace it. After a month and still not heard the good news from them, my husband finally went to ask the immig atty. help. 5 mins call... the lawyer already got an answer.... u know what we need to do?? resend the papers. Thats it! we spent almost a $100 just for that.:angry:

I am beginning to think it may be due to the financial state California is in, if I remember correctly all government employees do not work the first three days a month under the furlough program. :crying:

Based on that, a case that was going to take 10 months to process, thats assuming approx 21.5 working days a month will now take an additional 30 working days to process, 30 working days translates into approx 6 weeks.

Then theres the backlog, its just like being caught in a road jam, as you go past the jam you see the cars backed up on the other side and you know the poor guy reaching the end of that queue has a long wait to get through the jam. :(

Well, the stated 5 month period is not over yet, so I figured we wait until the end of the month - you know, just to give them a chance! :P

We ask for the status of our papers. Its kinda irritating really to listen to what they are saying (coz its over and over again) but you have to. It shows that you are really interested about your papers. If you will not do anything about it... they might think that you are not really that interested OR... you are not in hurry. They might put aside your papers... who knows.
